Is the Weber portable Grill cart compatible with the Weber Q1400 Electric Grill?

Posée par: Westsideshopper
Hello! Yes, cart # 6557 is compatible with the Q 1400. Thanks!

What is the length and width of the leg stands? I have a small sturdy table and wonder if the legs will fit on it. Thanks

Posée par: Westsideshopper
The legs you see across the front are 17 inches and they are 9.5 inches apart from front to back with drip pan suspend between them. So you could put it on table, but I wouldn’t use wood table. BBQ throws tons of heat. steaks cook about 7 minutes for medium rare. We LOVE this bbq

How do you clean it ? Looks like drippings just fall down to bottom , over element and builds up . Would be hard to clean.

Posée par: Minnie no no
Hello! The drippings from cooking will flow down into the removable drip pan beneath the grill. Drippings that fall onto the heat element will burn off. Any drippings that remain in the cookbox can be scraped out with a plastic scraping tool. Thanks!

Barbecue électrique portatif Q 1400, 1560 W, 189 po², gris est évalué 4.6 de 5 de 497.
Rated 5 de 5 de par Great product This is great little electric grill, sears meat perfectly, grills tender steaks (porterhouse too), hamburgers, pork chops, etc. It's a Weber, so you know it's a quality product made in the USA. Follow the instructions on preheating, grill time and cleaning. We bought the Weber grilling cart and grill cover too. Completely satisfied with our new grill.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Excellent Alternative to Gas We moved to an apartment that didn't allow gas grills so we purchased this alternative. Plus: It heats up in 15 minutes and grills very well without the flare-ups. We have done chicken breasts, pork tenderloin and steak filets and all have turned out evenly cooked. The design contains & circulates heat well with the top closed. Minus: Makes very nice char-grill marks but doesn't get hot enough to sear beef.

Rated 5 de 5 de par surprisingly good! This little electric tabletop grill does a great job, and it is so much more convenient to use and clean than my old gas grill. Weber thought this out carefully and the result is a very good little grill. Notice I did not say "a very good little grill - for an electric". This grill is as good as, and maybe better than, any small gas grill i've ever used. I chose the smaller size (Q1400) because the larger electric grill uses the exact same heating element. I figured "the smaller the area to be heated, the greater the heat achieved" with the heating element. My calculation seems to be correct. After heating this grill for twenty minutes, my little handheld infrared thermometer measured the center point of the grill surface at well over 900 degrees! This electric grill uses less overall energy, I believe, than my larger gas grill did, so this is a win-win situation for me. First time I cooked on it, I preheated it for 20 minutes as the directions state. When I dropped my steaks on the grill, they immediately began to sizzle. When I closed the top, smoke began pouring out around the edges within a minute. I monitored the cooking time closely, allowing three minutes per side (steak ¾ inches thick) and still had a pink center when I served the meat. I almost let it cook too long! The steaks had a very nice pattern of sear marks on both sides from the hot porcelain-covered cast iron grill plates. The second time I used it, I dropped a large ham steak (less than ½" thick) on the grill for less than two minutes per side, just to warm it up and create those nice sear marks. Very good! This grill is sized perfectly for cooking steak for two people. I could easily cook six large hamburger patties at the same time. It heats up just as quickly and takes less energy than my old, larger gas grill. With the electric control, it is much easier to control the heat than with my old grill, too. It also cleans up very easily. I slide a sheet of foil underneath the cooking element to catch most of the drippings. You can punch a small hole in the center of the foil and the drippings still make it into the catch pan underneath. I figure the very shiny side of the foil helps reflect the infrared radiant heat upwards while cooking. After cooking, pull the foil out and throw it away. Simple, quick, effective. When cooled, I wash the two grill plates in my kitchen sink. They are small enough to fit easily. When dry, I store them inside the grill 'til next time. This makes grilling out a simple process, with less effort overall than my old grill, which was much harder to clean. I also avoid the trips to the store for LP tank refills. I recommend this grill as an excellent cooking tool.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Great 2-person grill. Very convenient. Stumbled on to this last summer when renting a studio located in wine country in France. Grilled lamb, chicken, and more and our results were as good as any charcoal/gas grill used at home. Easy to clean! Recently retired and now living in costal N.C. in a condo where the only type of grill they allow on the porch balconies are electric. This was a perfect option so we purchased the Q 1400 soon after our return to the states and now use it often. I even built a grill table(from Pinterest). Very happy with this purchase and although the price was a little more than similar smaller electric grills the quality certainly justifies this. Pictures--the red grill is the French version, the black one on the blue table is ours in N.C.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Perfect for our needs! Bought this for our small condo winter home. Have the propane model at home, but did not want to deal with that, so decided to try the electric model. Looked at another electric grill from a different company, but the reviews were not as good as Weber's. Easy to put together, works very well. A bit of a learning curve, but I haven't ruined anything yet! Heats up quicker than I expected (instructions say 20 minutes, but it's ready in probably 10 minutes). One thing I'm not clear on yet is how to remove the inner liner for cleaning when we're done for the season. But, doesn't look too complicated.

Rated 5 de 5 de par The Best Substitution for Gas or Charcoal Cooking This is my second Weber electric grill. The national fire codes changed to allow electric grills on condominium balconies, 200 sq inch grill only. So this grill was perfect. Positive changes include a circuit cord with safety breaker. My first grill did not have this feature. With age this grill's cord and grill plug showed weakness and eventually shored out. This new enamel coated cast iron grills are much easier to clean. If you follow instructions and let the thing heat up you can sear steaks or any meat with temperatures of about 600 degrees. Unlike any other electric grill you cannot tell the difference between the many gas grills. I do have a portable gas Weber as well for camping. This is perhaps the best electric grill on the market.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Weber Electric Grill A very well built grill using quality materials and parts. This is the reason I bought this Weber grill and not a less expensive other name grill. I clean it after each use so that it stays as new looking as possible and will last a very long time. However, I cannot bring myself to using the wire brush that Weber says is okay to use. To me, it is too harsh. I use a scrub sponge once the grill has cooled. This works well but never soak the grates, just a dampened sponge will do the job just fine. This is possible the best electric grill on the market, look no further, this grill is well worth the money and will last a long time as long as it is cared for.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Works great for us so far After reading lots of reviews on different websites, we decided this grill will be the right fit for our little balcony. It takes some time to get used to it and figure out the correct temperature. Reason why I gave it only 4* is because it does not have the option to add the trays on the sides to hold utensils even though it has the holes to potentially to add some, but they are not available. Also it drips moisture with oil on the floor when the lid is opened, so don't expect to keep the balcony clean around the grill. We only had for two months now, so hopefully it will last for a long time.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Easy to use! We like the compact size. The grill is simple to use and heats up within 15 minutes. We have cooked chicken, hamburgers, hot dogs, veggies, kabobs, and steak with great results. This size will easily cook food for 3-4 people. I find the grill easy to clean with a stainless steel scrub brush. The bowl can be removed as well and scrubbed clean. I would suggest purchasing the stand designed to go with the 1400 grill. The grill fits perfectly and is a good height. The stand does not have side shelves or places to put utensils. Overall, a great purchase for us, no hassle with gas or charcoal.

Rated 4 de 5 de par It's not gas but it's fine We moved from a house to a second floor condo. Our Weber gas grill was not allowed to make the trip so I bought the Weber Q 1400 electric. It took some getting used to, but I'm liking it more and more. Reading the directions helped with expectations, i.e., cook with the top down and it works like a convection oven. I do wish it had two separate heating elements so I could cook different things at different temps at the same time. I also bought the stand. It could use a side tray. But overall, the electric grill is fine and this one seemed to be to be superior in its class.

Rated 2 de 5 de par Disappinted First of all I've been using Weber grills for over 40 years....all the way from a huge one I had hooked up to natural gas on our patio....which was wonderful......charcoal and even the small one we take camping. If you like your steaks seared in the shape of the grill only, fine. We like ours seared all over and med rare. This grill won't do that. We tried a Cornish hen according to the directions and found it totally unsatisfactory.....finished it in the oven. It's probably OK for burgers or hot dogs but I have other stuff to do that. In short....I don't like it. I'm really glad I didn't buy the stand for $60 or $100....what ever... and the cover. If I had a boat I might consider using it for an anchor.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Love it! Perfect grill for our use. There are only two us us that I am cooking for and I was tired of fussing with charcoal for two hamburgers, so we bought the Weber 1400 electric grill. It's easy to use, heats up easily, I followed the directions. As mentioned, I usually only cook two hamburgers at a time, but could easily do six at a time if we had friends over. My husband says they are the best hamburgers I've made. I've also cooked fish, worked really well for that too. Great purchase, we are very happy with it. And, my husband built a cool table to put it on.

Rated 2 de 5 de par Not up to Weber standards First of all I've been using Weber grills for 55 years and been very happy. I had the utility company in Indy extend a natural gas line to a huge permanently installed grill on our patio. We used one in the mtns when living in CO. Two nights ago I grilled steaks on a charcoal Weber. That said I don't like the electric grill. We like our steaks charred on the outside and the Weber doesn't do that. Didn't like the chicken either. Probably OK for hot dogs and burgers but ours is stashed away in garage storage.
Date de publication: 2018-01-12
Rated 5 de 5 de par Surprisingly hot I just sold my 15 year old Weber gas grill because I moved to an apartment where fire is not allowed. So far I am very pleased with the 1400 electric model. It gets hot enough to sear and cook a steak very well. It is nicely designed and built as expected with a Weber product. This grill is ideal for apartment dwellers BUT Unfortunately Weber does not offer a suitable stand for it. Only a foldable portable beach stand. Who takes an electric grill to the beach? .
Date de publication: 2018-03-23
Rated 2 de 5 de par Built like a tank But with cheap interior parts that rust and fail way too soon for such a pricey grill. The heating coil should also last more than a year or two. Better to buy a cheap grill where you expect to have to replace it in a year or two. PS.... don't use on windy days...it won't get hot enough to cook a hamburger. I am told that you need to buy the bigger one if you want more heat.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Works well but really missing my gas grill Moved to a condo building and had to give up my Weber gas grill :-( Bought the electric one. Works well enough - love having grilled burgers again - but is somewhat difficult to clean. We use a recommended scrub brush but it's still necessary to take the grates off and soak them for hours to try to get them cleaner. In fact, we had to buy a special basin (not a Weber product) to put the grates in for soaking. Otherwise, our entire kitchen sink is unusable for hours. Also because the grill is electric, we can't use it in the rain and it seems like it's raining every afternoon lately. Makes it really hard to plan to grill (i.e. buy or defrost meat or poultry) so we are using it much less than we used our gas grill. Just one of the disadvantages of downsizing to condo life.
Date de publication: 2020-08-18
Rated 5 de 5 de par Great Grill Nice rust free design and quality product. Cooks like a gas grill. One negative thing, Doesn't have a thermostat like other weber grills so you don't know the temperature inside which is very helpful in cooking. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Date de publication: 2018-08-01
Rated 5 de 5 de par Great Grill I'm surprised with how well this grill works. It gets good and hot - hot enough to put a nice char on meats and vegetables. I have used gas and charcoal grills for many years and this electric grill is comparable in its cooking - albeit it doesn't leave the same taste as charcoal. I am very satisfied and highly recommend it.

Rated 5 de 5 de par A little powerhouse! We live in an apartment and used to own a big weber grill but since we moved to a place where gas grills are not permitted, i chose this grill and wow!!!! Not only is it a great grill, i think i like it better than my ild gas one. Even cooking, constant hear, easy prep. 1 1/2 inch steaks take 12 min in high for medium hot pink centers. Cools 4 strip steaks easily or 2 large rib eyes. Chicken is perfect and so are vegies. A big plus is no flare ups. Worth every penny. If you cant use gas or only need a small grill, this is a great grill.

Rated 5 de 5 de par The Electric Grill Works! My third weber grille in 35 years and my first electric. Like the two previous Weber gas grills I had, it does it's job well. We now live in a condo were we are not allowed to have a gas grill on our decks, but electrics are permitted. This was easy to assemble and a cinch to operate. It does take 20 minutes to heat up to temperature, so some planning ahead is necessary, but once heated up its fine for what I use it for; hotdogs, burgers and the occasional beef kabob. Haven't tried a steak on it yet, but all indications are if will work just fine. From previous experience I also know that Weber's customer service is great. You always get a very knowledgeable, responsive human being.

Rated 3 de 5 de par Love everything except... I bought this because we are not permitted "open flame" grills on our condo balcony. Everything about this grill is perfect except that no matter how long I preheat it simply does not get hot enough to grill. It basically bakes.
Date de publication: 2018-01-12
Rated 5 de 5 de par Great Grill for Condo Bacony I got this grill as a gift along with matching stand and cover. It was easy to assemble. The condo I own allows electric grills under 200 square inches on the balcony, in accordance with state law. I also have another Weber Grill which is gas, at another property, so I know their track record. I have cooked on it five times with no problem. It heats up fast and cools down quickly when shut down. My only con comment is that the electric cord could be a bit longer. If you need a longer cord, a 14 guage AWG UL indoor/outdoor cord would work (consult Weber and electrician). I have been able to make due with existing cord. All things considered a great grill that does what I want it to do.
Date de publication: 2019-01-29
Rated 5 de 5 de par Grills like a charm! If you let it preheat at full temperature for 20-30 minutes before grilling, you can get some beautiful grilling char marks on your steak. I’d say it’s just as good as a gas or charcoal grill, but a lot less fuss and prep...no switching out propane tanks or lighting charcoal. Clean up is a breeze because everything can go into the dishwasher.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Happy with my Weber electric grill Love our new Weber Q1400! We recently moved to a condo and are only allowed to have an electric grill on our patio. After much research we settled on the Weber Q1400 and we have not been disappointed. We have never used an electric grill before so we didn’t know what to expect, this little grill does a great job cooking the food evenly and quickly. After using it a few times we decided to purchase the stand to sit it on, that was also a good purchase. The grill snaps into the stand securely and brings the cooking surface up higher.
Date de publication: 2020-06-21
Rated 4 de 5 de par Perfect for urban condo balcony Many condos prohibit gas or charcoal on your balcony. This electric model is perfect for a couple or small family living in a condo situation. Yes, I wish it were even hotter, but it’s good enough to respectably grill chicken, fish, shrimp, hot dogs, veggies. You’ll want to pat dry your steak as it goes on, and before the flip. But it does a good job on burgers! There is a larger model, the Q2400, if your needs exceed the capacity of this model.
Date de publication: 2020-06-29
Rated 5 de 5 de par Highly recommended We really enjoy our new grill, living in a condo the electric was the only option. I was concerned about not having the authentic bbq taste but I’m pleased to say that isn’t the case, food tastes great. We’ve made burgers, kabobs, hot dogs, chicken and Italian sausages so far, with many more choices to come over the summer.
Date de publication: 2020-06-15
Rated 1 de 5 de par Don't Spend your money on this This grill does not get very hot which makes it so everything you cook takes a long time. For a Weber very disappointing.
Date de publication: 2018-01-08
Rated 5 de 5 de par Great electric grill I’ve had Weber grills for over 25 years, charcoal, gas and now electric.. The condo we live now doesn’t allow gas or charcoal grill. This is 2nd Weber electric grill and I grill at 3-5 times a week. Highly recommend this grill...
