Plenty of torque, sturdy and effective
Used this tool to put multiple decking screws into underlayment in several rooms in my older house that were being re-carpeted- had been nailed originally and floors were squeaky. The sturdy gun worked great driving large numbers of 3 inch screws thru particle board underlayment and plywood into joists without a whimper- plenty of torque. Would have been more convenient to use a commercial screw gun with screw cartridges, but this tool worked fine for a one-time project at far less cost.

Drywall screw gun.
Once I got the gun adjusted to the setting I wanted, the gun work very smooth. The weight of the gun is very well balanced. My first project was to repair my fence and after an hour or so of almost continous use, my arm and shoulder felt fine.

A great tool
Was a little bit of overkill for what I needed it for, just putting in screws to gutters....but well worth the money and saved alot of time....very good addition to my tools and I'm certain will find more uses for it....

Best Screw Gun Ever!!!
I'm not a professional, but I know a great tool when I use one. This Dewalt DW257 is the best screw gun I've ever used. I built a deck recently with over 2500 screws and with one setting, this puppy could knock the screws in the boards like they were nothing. Plenty of torque and depth settings. Gives a consistent screwing pattern every time.
A must have for working on large projects. I highly recommend it.
