Vis de blocage de 2 7/8" pour bois d'œuvre, boîte de 50 est évalué 3.9 de 5 de 23.
Rated 1 de 5 de par Do not use! These screws are awful. Many of these screws snapped in half as soon as the screw touched the hanger. I'd put up about 20 hangers when I realized that the popping sound was the screw breaking in half. (If I hadn't noticed my deck would probably be collapsing soon.) Some of the screws snapped when they were halfway into the wood. The heads strip super easy. Many of the heads are full of gunk and screw is unusable. You can't use them with an impact driver or you will strip or break them. If you turn the clutch on your drill way down, you might be able to use them if you order enough extras. Rated 5 de 5 de par Great After reading usp's literature on the screw you are not to use an impact driver on this screw, I did and I was careful not to over tighten and had great results haven broken 2 out of 50. The 2 screws I did break I kept tightening and was my fault I was driving these screws into 115 year old joists, I kept tightening and most screws will break if you keep tightening them. The screws are strong and I used them where the joists lap in the middle where they had one nail in them and you could see the screws pulling the joists together tight.

Rated 1 de 5 de par User Beware This product is impressively designed, yet sadly... very poorly manufactured. The steel alloy used in these structural screws is woefully inadequate. You must consider... not only does this screw need to torque through nearly 3" of wood, but it must also pull a metal bracket tight when it grounds. The end result is invariably a snapped screw where the smooth screw shank meets its threads. Yes the instructions do say not to overtighten these screws, and to drive them perfectly straight, but most of the damage which will eventually cause these screws to shear happens from the torque of simply driving these screws through the wood. The 'overtightening' *snap* happens nearly immediately as the screw is being pulled tight. I sank 10 screws. Of those 10.... 6 of them snapped outright under very little tightening pressure/torque. The other 4 tighted well but showed beginning signs of torque shear where the shank meets the threads. All screws broke or strained in the exact same place. Why remove them? After snapping 60 percent of my trial drives... I wouldn't trust the to support any load bearing connection on my deck. Sadly, nails are still a better structural choice. These screws were returned for a refund.

Rated 3 de 5 de par I've used better Used these to fix a hack job someone else did on some joist hangers. For the most part they worked ok. Usually a torx drive is great but these strip relatively easily. I also had multiple screws break. This was not due to over tightening. They would snap at the thread-shank junction mid drive before even being fully driven.

Rated 3 de 5 de par Torx-Drive Structural Wood Screws The packaging states that these are authorized to be used as a substitute for hanger nails. I find driving screws easier and more consistent than driving nails. I had a little trouble with screws snapping when applied with an impact driver. Upon investigation I learned (from their website) that a low speed driver is to be used, with a light clutch setting. I contacted the manufacturer to point out that this is not indicated on the packaging. The representative I talked to said that the screws have not been thoroughly tested, and may not pass inspection in all applications. With this in mind I have continued applying hangers using these screws using a drill driver with a clutch setting of eight. So far they are working out well.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Great Product This is a response to the negative review regarding the screw breaking. The screw is not designed for IMPACT drivers. If you use an impact driver, you will have to stop when it is tight - you won't be able to sink the head flush with the board. Unfortunately, higher carbon content alloys that are stronger are also less corrosion resistant. If this screw is applied with a tool that has a torque limiting clutch, a superior & consistent result is obtained. This is due the fact that the non-threaded portion of the shank is 1-1/2" allowing it to pull a nom. 2" board hard up against the attached to board without breaking. This clamping force is not attained with screws without a board width unthreaded shank. If you can't control the torque, use a non-impact drill with a clutch.

Rated 5 de 5 de par #9 x 2-7/8-in Gold Poly Round-Head Screws I purchased and used these screws to do some upgrade/repair to my aging wood deck. These screws worked great using a 20v impact driver. I will continue to use these screws for other structural applications. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 de 5 de par Would Not Grab Started to use these on our new front steps. They would not grab when screwed into the wood. Returned them and bought galvanized screws.
