Does the am06 give out cool air or does it work like a regular fan.. just moving air around
Works like a regular fan. It is not an air conditioner.

Are there batteries included for the remote? Is the battery in the remote? Is there more than one battery?

Not worth the price
I bought this as I live in a condo without air conditioning and I was disappointed with the product. It was super quiet, easy to set up and looked great but as far as dyson vs no name stand up fan- the stand up fan did the trick better. I typically love the dyson product and would recommend other products from them, however, I don't think this product was worth the 299. I read many reviews before that I did not find helpful, so I made sure I could return if I wasn't satisfied, within 2 days I returned it and bought a 40 dollar fan that worked much better.

Perfect fit!
Purchased mine during a Dyson sale ($100 off) & Lowes matched the price then beat it by 10%.
I have placed mine on the kitchen counter, way back in the corner. Looks great. Fits under the cabinets. Keeps the cook cool with a light breeze (setting #1).
Love it. Seriously considering another during the Dyson Cool fan sale (on now until Sept 2018). Perhaps, I'll go for the tall tower fan this time...still $100 off list price.

Regarding the review from Joday and others.
If you have given a bad review of not recommending the Dyson fans it means you have a high intolorence of heat. You either have high menopause or premenopausal, or you should move to the Alaska or anywhere that is cold. Dyson is a bit expensive but they are WORTH IT ! I own a vacuum cleaner from Dyson (round ball, with cord), and I have always wanted a Dyson fan. I am saving to get one one day, so, yes, I think they are worth it !

I've only had the fan for a few days, but I really like that it is so quiet. I use it in my bedroom for the warm nights so it needs to be relatively silent. It's also very easy to clean compared to the conventional fans, of which I have tried every brand. They start out quiet, but just get noisier as usage goes on.
So far I'm very pleased with my Dyson Fan.

We bought our desk fan very recently - and are already absolutely delighted with it! It is a very quiet fan, has 10 settings, can be fixed in one position or can move from side to side, it looks goode and is just so effective in moving and cooling the air in our very warm bedroom! Thank you Dyson, you're the best!

I purchase the desk fan recently and I love it! it really makes hot air cold and it is quiet. Love that even the desk fan comes with a remote, I had previously purchased the tower fan when the AC in our condo building went out and these fans are truly worth the money!
LOVE IT! it really is a must have!

Good fan but many problems
The first fan I had made clicking noises when it is oscillating, so I got an exchange from Dyson, and the exchanged product not only clicks but also makes a terrible grinding noise. The fan is great if not for the constant problems, but customer support has been very helpful in exchanging products.
