Wonderful!
Been using for a few weeks and it is wonderful! I can't believe how fast it heats and boils water! I love how easy to clean it is. If you go into it knowing you need magnetic cookware, the cooktop does make a slight hum (which is fine). The slide dial for the different heat settings is a little annoying, I wish you could be more direct when you wanted to go up or down a number instead of trying to guess where that number falls on the slider, but I do love not having any physical dials. And I love how much less expensive the frigidaire models are than ALL other brands. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Does not heat evenly, only in the very center
12 inch burner is supposed to size to match the pan size. This unit does not do that and only heats the very center of the pan (see video). Pan is All-Clad Stainless Tri-ply, good quality, induction ready, and flat on the bottom. Frigidaire customer service insists it's working as intended. If that's true then avoid this product, and if not then avoid Frigidaire/Electrolux customer service.

I'm in love!!
The first time I saw this cooktop demo-ed I knew I had to have it in the remodeled kitchen I was planning. I'm not a great cook - my late husband did most of the cooking at our house, fabulously, I might add - but this cooktop is easy to use, makes meal prep quick work when time is short, and cleanup is a breeze. I'm back to cooking and loving it.; trying new recipes, etc., and just learning what all my Frigidaire will do. And it's beautiful, too! I find myself smiling every time I use it. I really wish my daughter had an induction cooktop like this; as a working mother of two young children, she could really use it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Very much like the touch controls (give me a whole worksurface to play with) and the auto pan sensing feature. The ability of the induction to heat extraordinarily quickly is not under-stated but also to reduce heat quickly as well (almost exactly like cooking on gas).
The amount of literature given over to what is need to keep the surface clean seems a little daunting & worrying and the fact that the rings keep trying to turn themselves on every time I damp-wipe the surface clean is a little annoying.

Speedy!
It took me 30 and raising 7 children to be able to remodel my kitchen, believe me after waiting so long I wanted to get it right. I shopped around for a cook top for months and the features I wanted ( 5 burners, speedy cooking, easy to clean ) I found with my Frigidaire cooktop. The ease of cleaning and the rapid boil are my favorite. I couldn’t be more pleased with my cooktop, it makes the kitchen modern and efficient. I was so please with the price and features of the cooktop that I bought a Frigidaire built in microwave. Absolutely love them both!!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Very Inconsistent. 2 burners failed.
Within around 6 months of purchase, two of the burners failed and had to be replaced. Before and since, the results are very inconsistent. I can have a pot on a large burner and get very little heat and then move the same pot to another burner and get full heat. Also, the auto pot size sensing feature does not work.

I love this cooktop
If you cook A lot as I do,this device is the best gift you could give yourself.
My first impressions were you feel no heat in the air around the cooktop,like gas or radiant electric.
I was amazed 2 quarts of water steaming in 20 seconds then boiling at 3 mins!
I am 2 months in and can't imagine ever using either gas or conventional electric,I have seen a drop in electricity costs using it.
I use silicone burner protectors to keep from scratching the surface and cook through them with no issues.Only the pots and pans get hot not the burner,takes some getting used to but the level of precision and efficiency is wonderful.

Works fine, shows fingerprints
I bought this induction cooktop to replace a Kenmore model I had for only 8 years. It had electrical problems and would quit working, then work, then quit... The Frididaire model works fine so far. It made it through a day of canning peaches and making jam without issues. My only complaint is that the black surface shows every smudge and spec unless you wash and dry it frequently. My old white model did not, but I couldn't find a white replacement in the U. S. I like that the timer on this one keeps beeping until you shut it off.
