What if this gets installed on the Kitchen island. How does it vent the fumes and smoke?

Hi, JackieGoldenLake! Thank you for your inquiry. In researching, we were able to see that this model has a regular overhead vent that it vents from. Every state has their own regulations, but usually as long as you have an overhead draft that will remove some of the heat, it will be fine. We hope this information was helpful to you. -Ciara

Good cooktop with a design flaw
We upgraded to this 5 burner cooktop through our builder. It cooks and functions as expected. There is, however, a HUGE design flaw. The most powerful burner is the front right burner that is located right to the control! What this means in practice is that we often burn ourselves turning off that burner. There needs to be more separation from the control knob or switch the front and back control knobs not to control the burner located so close. As mentioned in a couple of reviews, you'd be hard pressed to actually have 5 pots on this cooktop at the same time but that's due to the compact size. Well made,easy to use unit. Excellent value
Bought a Frigidaire Professional Cooktop unit about 2 months ago and are very satisfied with the unit. The burner layout, burner capacity and control configuration are well designed and easy to use and it heats and cooks as desired.
The problem with this unit so far is that the stainless steel base stains and discolors quickly with use, It is very hard to clean and remove the stains. This should be addressed for the unit to get a 10 out of 10. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Documentation is terrible
The LP converter documentation does not match the actual converter, not even the same brand. Called Frigidaire and their solution was for me to pay $63 for the "correct" one. Called twice and the gave me two "correct" converters Because I was without a stove, Frigidaire would send it the next day for another $23. Tried to get the documentation on line from the manufacturer, but they did not have the same model. I was fortunate to find the exact model on a You Tube video and it took 15 seconds to convert from Natural Gas to LP when you have the correct instructions. My installer also waster time talking to Frigidaire , but because he was not a "certified" Frigidaire installer, he could not get any help. Waster 45 minutes of his time which I got to pay for.
When you drop a thousand dollars for a stove, you would think they would not try save a quarter by having all the documentation for gas and electric stoves in the same document, but a quarter is a quarter.

Control, stability, and strength!
We recently converted from an electric cooktop to this unit because the ceramic glass top cracked under the weight of my 20 gallon brew kettle, The clever 5 burner arrangement is very flexible for anything from small to huge cooking projects. The cast iron grates with this unit are incredibly strong and the ability to quickly heat and hold a stable 154 degree F mashing temperature easily was an unexpected and welcome bonus! Cooking on gas is a pleasure, and this cooktop does it extraordinarily well. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Great Product and Lots of Room for a 30"
In use for 9 months. Is been a great cooktop and love the amount of cooking area for a 30". Only complaint is that little rubber feet on the bottom of the 3 grilles (4 each) can fall off. If you don't notice and put the grills back on with a missing rubber foot, the grill will scratch the stainless. Frigidaire should include extra feet with the grilles, or improve the design. Simplicity at it's best!
I moved to a new home a month ago and had this stovetop along with the other Frigidaire Professional Series appliances and just love it. When I bought it (online) I hadn't seen it and was apprehensive about the stainless steel top. But I love it...clean up is so easy and the burners are just one component rather than 2 on my other Fridgidaire stove...which makes the gas come out so evenly and again the cleanup so easy. I like that the knobs are metal rather than plastic! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Good gas cooktop for home.
Bad news first. The anchors to secure cooktop to counter are a horrible design. Make sure you secure the cooktop with caulk. The "Stainlees" Steel, will stain quite easily. It is very difficult to remove the stains. And yes, I did use the cleaner that can with the cooktop. 5 burners! Not so fast. If you use the middle large burner you cannot use any of the remaining burners. Just not enough room.
Now the good. The large burner is create for canning. Stove lights quickly. Love cooking with gas! Easy to clean, even if you can't get all the stains out.

Frigidaire Professional 5-Burner Gas Cooktop
We are very happy with the purchase and performance for this cooktop,it looks great in our kitchen and cooks very well. I had to adjust the center burner as it would go out at low setting, otherwise we are very happy with the unit. Would recommend this product.
