Description
Cette sous-couche capitonnée DMX AirFlow crée un intervalle d'air sous vos planches de vinyle permettant à l'air humide de s'évaporer, réduisant ainsi la croissance de moisissure sous vos sols. La mousse alvéolée fermée offre à vos planchers une barrière thermique et une couche d'isolation contre le froid du béton. Résistance à la compression de 8000 lb/pi².

Can I use this DMX Airflow LVT for regular laminate flooring and not just the LVT?
I’ve used it for both vinyl and laminate. The idea is to keep space for airflow to reduce mould and mildew under your new floor. Especially useful if working in a basement or area that is prone to moisture.

Will this provide some level of noise reduction or sound proofing?
No. This is very low density material and won't do much in terms of sound proofing.

What would happen if you use a 4.4 mm lv plank on this product?
you don't need this underlayment if you are purchasing vinyl flooring with underlay attached to the plank.

can carpet be installed directly on top of product? with underpad? or does it require a plywood? if so, how thick?
There is no way carpet could be installed directly on top. That would feel like carpet over gravel. 1/4" plywood would be good enough, but it might feel a bit soft.

Can I glue lvp to airflow lvt?
Hello:
DMX Airflow LVT has been designed for floating vinyl plank flooring. We do not recommend gluing vinyl plank flooring directly onto our underlayment.
In this case, we recommend installing plywood or OSB on top of our underlayment first.

Can I use this product for 4 mm vinyl planks

We recommend a minimum thickness of 5mm when installing vinyl plank flooring directly on top of DMX Airflow LVT. We recommend installing plywood or OSB on top of our underlayment first when installing vinyl plank flooring that is less than 5mm.

So Far, So Good
I'm installing this RIGHT NOW in Ohio. I had to drive to Canada to get it. I've put down about 700 square feet so far (of 1,000 square feet) and it's pretty easy to work with after a brief learning curve.
It comes in rolls, so it wants to curl a little and lays slightly wrinkled, but I don't think it will be a problem when laying the LVT flooring.
I can tell that it feels slightly warmer than the concrete floor below it.
It fits my needs perfectly at only 4mm thick, an R-value of 1.3, and a pressure rating of about 55 PSI.

Easy to install and comfortable to walk on
Bought this for our basement.. seems to make the floors feel warmer and nice to walk on. I like the fact that it allows for airflow under floor.

Works Great!
Two Lowe's associates at the Queensway Lowes recommended this product for my basement project, and I could not be happier. After some research it was suggested that having an air gap will prevent mold growth in my basement (which is the reason I took my original flooring out to begin with). Big thanks to John & Anthony for helping me find the right product for my beautiful Centurion vinyl. I will update the review if anything changes.

Easy install, buy your own tuck tape (yes Candian)
Super easy to cut and install. The tape that comes with the product does not secure well. I bought the red tuck tape to tape it down instead. Since this is a basement project I wanted to ensure that the tape sticks well. Please provide a better quality tape then I would give it a five.

Used this product in my basement. Never done flooring or anything of the like before and opted to use this as a subfloor to my LVT flooring. Product was way to install just by following instructions!

Absolutely terrible to install
Installing this currently in my basement and this stuff is awful to work with. Rolls are rolled from factory the opposite way of install, and the tape they provide is garbage. Hopefully this stuff works well for the moisture.
