What size are the tires , and does it have poer steering?

Posée par: louie 48
I have this snowblower and the tires are quite big. Tire is 14” outside diameter with a 6.5” rim. It doesn’t have power steering. I have had zero problem with this machine very powerful and runs very smooth even in the heaviest of snow. The only draw back is the reverse is just one speed (slow) other then that this machine is a worthwhile investment.  Hope this helped.  Steeler Nation

Souffleuse à neige, 2 phases, ST 224, 208 cc, 24" est évalué 3.8 de 5 de 183.
Rated 3 de 5 de par Good But Not Great I bought this blower to replace a 20 year old Ariens 8hp 24" that I had. I've used this through 8 storms ranging from 4-5" to 20". I found that this unit does well up to maybe 8", but beyond that it bogs down, especially if the snow is wet. It has no where near as much power as my old Ariens. Another thing I found disappointing is how flimsy the auger assembly is. There is lots of slop in the bearings on the end of the auger shaft and I have encountered quite a bit of vibration any time the augers encounter snow of any depth. If I had it to do over I would spend more and get a better quality blower, so I gave it a "no" on would I recommend it.

Rated 2 de 5 de par Under powered This is my first Husqvarna, starting my 3rd winter and have had no issues with build quality or breaking down. But I feel the 208cc motor is under powered. This one at only 6+ is struggling. I noticed that other manufactures are upping the power. Knowing now what I do, I would have gotten one with a bigger motor closer to 8hp . This is my 3rd machine in 30 yrs, and the first one with one of these newer OHV motors. The others had flat head 8hp motors that had more power. All were 24" The other features are nice, remote shoot control, head light, etc. The heated had grips, to the best of knowledge are of no value.

Rated 3 de 5 de par Product problems ST224 After using only a couple of times I had to replace the scraper bar on the bottom due to excessive wear. This bar is not hardened metal and wears out quickly. The height adjusting brackets on the side are part of the problem. They are made of plastic and wear quicker than the blade and as a result any difference in surface will result in a jarring blow when hit. The engine is adequate and takes on some of the heaviest snow. The blower is not easy to turn. The next model up has turn assist but is considerably more expensive. If the blade was better quality and the adjusting brackets were metal this would be a good product. Engineering leaves something to be desired.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Very happy with this product Got 4 inches of heavy wet snow yesterday. My wife bought this snow blower but it was too late to get it going last night. Fired it up during lunch today and it ripped through the icy snow. Liked the idea of electric start, but used the pull start just to see. Started on the first pull. It does a great job chopping the snow and blowing it out. It doesn't like ice but I didn't expect it to cut through the icy chucks frozen on the driveway. I like the metal construction as opposed to the plastic parts on competing brands. We were also happy that it rang up $50 lower than marked at the register. Engine started easily, ran smoothly and sounded strong, even chopping through ice chunks. Happy with this purchase.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Broke on the third use It is a good thing we had a very mild winter here in New England because I bought this snowblower and it broke on the third use. None of the snowstorms was anything more than 6 inches and I even went out twice during that snowstorm to ensure I wasn't overloading the machine. I took it to a local dealer to get it repaired and they are waiting over a week for parts from Husqvuarna. They also said they couldn't get a part from Husqvuarna (the belt cover) and they would "just straighten it out". I am not going to a "straightened out" part on a brand new snowblower. I called Husqvuarna and the rep (Randy) wouldn't even look up the part for me, but instead would only email me a parts list so I could look it up myself. Not great customer service.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Very Pleased Bought this blower as a gift for myself and also at the urging of my wife after my fourth shoulder rebuild. I went through the instructions to familiarize myself with the machine. Filled the tank, pumped the primer three times and gave a tug on the pull handle. It fired right up. I then put it to work. This thing is a beast. Heavy wet and packed snow was chewed up and thrown with ease. I'm very happy with this product and would highly recommend it.

Rated 4 de 5 de par 24 inch hasqvarna snowblower This machine is the best snowblower I have ever bought. It chews right thru 5 inches with no problem and this snow was heavy threw it probably 40 feet. Scrapes right down to the pavement. The reverse speed is a little slow but works fine. The forward speeds you won't use the 6th speed it's just to fast I'm comfortable at number 4. This 208 cc engine is a beast does not bog down a bit in deep snow. I am now sold on husqvarna I will buy another of there products.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Great Snowblower! I purchased this at the beginning of the 2018/2019 snow season in Minnesota. It was a definite upgrade from my last beast of a machine. This blows the snow a lot further than my last machine and kept running even through large drifts, although it did bog down a bit. I am very pleased with the performance and would buy another one. It always started on the first pull except when it was 10 below zero or colder, but it always started. I also really like the blower direction controls. The only drawbacks I come away with is the incredibly slow reverse and a rather small gas tank. Other than that, This blower rocks!
