The photos for this saw show 2 different models which one is it? 455 Rancher or the 435?

Posée par: RS68
The cc's match the 435 so i assume that it what it is. The picture is just wrong for this model. Why they don't advertise the correct model #, i don't know.

can you put a 20" bar on this saw (and/or 18" bar)??

Posée par: woodcutter11
18 yes , but 20 in theory, but you wouldn't cut much.

Scie à chaîne à essence 435, 16'', 40.9cc, est évalué 4.0 de 5 de 219.
Rated 3 de 5 de par Cut like a champ - fuel leak [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased the saw early in March for small jobs around the house, cut down one medium sized tree and worked great!! Saw started easily and had plenty of power for falling/blocking up a tree approximately 14" at the base. One negative issue I've had is a small fuel leak. After sitting for a few days I noticed fuel leaking from where the fill cap screws onto the saw. A small pool accumulated below on the bench where the saw was sitting. Tried tightening down the cap(didn't seem loose), wiping clean and checking few days later, again small droplets of fuel collected beneath the cap. Additionally I checked the sealing surface on the cap/saw and found nothing that would have contributed to leakage. Will probably end up exchanging the saw for a new one later this week and giving it another shot.

Rated 5 de 5 de par great powerful small saw I love using this saw instead of my heavier 20" and 24" saws when I can it cuts great and doesn't wear you out like a big saw does and the power is great for cutting

Rated 1 de 5 de par STAY CLEAR I purchased this saw and i also purchased the recommended premixed fuel. Right oot of the box I added the husquvana premixed fuel and bar oil. After about 25-30 pulls it did turn over. After another 10-15 pulls it started. I let the saw warm up bit it would not idle I had to massage the throttle to keep it running. I attempted to cut through a small branch (2" in diameter) the chain spun right pff the bar. VERY DANGEROUS! I have been using real saws for over 30 years, so I know how to operate saws safely. I didn't expect to be wrenching on a brand new saw. I returned it back to lowes for a full refund along with a extra chain I purchased as well. The only thing I was out is the fuel, oil and rime wasted.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Excellent [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Add fuel and bar oil and you’re ready to go. I was able to remove a few trees in advance of hurricane Florence arriving, and help others with tree removal post hurricane. Thank you for a great product.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Leaks oil / hard to start Bought last week. Worked great the first couple of days on a few trees I have in the yard. A week later, Tried using the chain saw but was hard to start. And when it does start, It stalls. Also noticed that the bar/ chain oil was not making it on to the bar and chain but was leaking down side of the chain saw. I used the recommended bar/ chain oil and the Husqvarna 50:1 pre-mixed ethanol-free fuel. My plan was to exchange for another one but maybe not after reading all these reviews!!

Rated 5 de 5 de par Great bang for the buck! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Definitely worth the money. Bought for a specific project, and it ripped through it. Good instructions, easy set up. I went through a heat cycle, and used it for hours the next day. Worked great. No bogs, no issues, except a dull chain, cause I wacked a rock... my fault. Great saw!

Rated 5 de 5 de par Great .... Until .... I bought my 435 at a "tire" store and it worked beautifully until a backfire caused the built in flywheel key to brake off.....a very poor feature...I have fixed a number of old chainsaws including German , Japanese etc etc but my 435 seems unfixable..... The same goes for my 235..... I also have a 240 from Ottawa Fasteners in Bells Corners ( Ottawa ) which I don't want to even start.... That flywheel with its own built in key is a big mistake. Would you like to give me a free flywheel for my 235 and 435 to see if it might change my attitude about HUSQVARNA ?????

Rated 4 de 5 de par Cuts anything under 6" no problem. Picked one up in the spring and over the summer it put down close to 200 trees. Mostly 5 to 7 inches across since I was clearing a overgrown forest. When it came to the trees that are upwards of 7 inches to say 14 inches it would struggle, even with a new chain on, since the engine is not that powerful. However for the small trees it was designed to do, it did so without any problems. People try to cut 16 inch trees with it just because it had a 16 bar and than complain that the saw sucks when indeed it is them who don't know what they are doing.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Works as advertised Bought this saw ( e435 ) for light to medium duty on our 1 acre lot. Starts every time if you follow the starting directions precisely. No problem cutting through logs up to a 10 inches or so in diameter and light weight enough for clearing deadfall, stumps and heavy brush. Have owned this saw for 9 months and I think this is a good home owners saw.
Date de publication: 2019-06-03
Rated 1 de 5 de par Totally Disapointed I received the 435e chainsaw as a Christmas gift in December of 2018 and just opened the box last week in September 2019. I used the saw for 30 minutes. The throttle trigger stuck on full throttle. I pushed the stop button and the throttle trigger fell out of the saw. The plastic part was broken at the hinge. I have used Stihl saws and Husqvarna since the late 1970s. This was a cheaply made part that had a flawed design. Now... I have no receipt because it was a Christmas gift and the store where it was purchased will not honor the warranty. No excuse for this. I have to pay to have a brand new saw fixed. Unbelievable.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Great homeowners chainsaw;dumb 1 star reviews its a great little all around saw. i dont understand some of these 1 star reviews id have to question the honesty of a lot of them.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Excellent saw for the price !! In years past I have used many chainsaws, but after not having one for a while, and looking at many different models, I settled on this one. This saw starts well and for a “smaller” saw, it cuts very well. Pretty good power for a smaller saw, and very light to use. If I was to need this more than I do though I would probably go to a model up with a bit more horsepower. Overall Very happy with the price as well.
Date de publication: 2018-09-28
Rated 5 de 5 de par Good For The Price But Not Built For Heavy Use [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used this saw many hours to cut many soft woods and hardwoods. It is great for the soft woods but struggles a bit with the more denser woods, you will dull out a chain in no time. Usually starts pretty well but recently not so much and I've always used the no ethanol fuel. Had an issue with the muffler seal but all and all good for the price and will give you alot of service before it needs service. Overall great saw for home owner use on small trees and clearing out thick brush, Overall reliable.
Date de publication: 2019-06-07
Rated 1 de 5 de par Huskvarna chain saw [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The saw had problems out of the box. Unfortunately possible just a flawed unit. As I have had Huskvarna in previous times and had a great product.
Date de publication: 2019-02-15
Rated 1 de 5 de par Went downhill quick Bought this a couple a months ago, it seemed like it was going to be a good saw. However, it started doing the same thing that the 125 blower was doing that I bought at the same time. It would bog down. Runs for about 5 minutes then dies (unless you turn it on it side to make a cut it just dies). I guess it has a couple of hours on it. I don't usually write reviews but I have had such bad luck and headaches with this equipment that I felt compelled to let the public know. I just made a bad decision. Great workout keeping it running.
Date de publication: 2019-04-27
Rated 4 de 5 de par Robust but lacks longevity even when serviced [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 435 is a decent chainsaw yet it lacks longevity even with regular service, the pull start is the one that will usually give out, I have also had one blow the piston rings, the chainsaw under normal use will last about 12-18 months before a defect will arise, continuous use weekly will diminish that time, operation hours before problems arise will be From 80-120 operation hours. The fact that it can be upgraded to an 18” bar is great though. Just know it is a strong cutter but it does have a limit to hassle free functioning.
Date de publication: 2019-05-19
Rated 5 de 5 de par Light allrounder This saw is a good little one for smaller Jobs around the house or for limbing. I bought one for our cabin when there are firewood jobs to do. For big jobs I have a 390 XPG. The saw starts easy. Let it run idle for a minute or so and the engine runs flawlessly. The choke works easy. Just pull and lift. Maintenance is easy to make, semi chisel chains are available. I recommend to put such on when you have some experience with running a chainsaw, cuts faster. Quality is as what you expect from Husky, very well made. When you are a beginner in using a chainsaw, this is a good starting point.
Date de publication: 2020-12-12
Rated 1 de 5 de par New Saw Fails To Start [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unfortunately, I purchased the Husqvarna saw 28 months prior removal from box. Warranty was void. For 2 days I attempted to start the saw with no sucess. Called Husqvarna help who suggested a repair shop. With no repair date defined I'll have to rely on my 10 year old Poulan saw to remove a tree that is in danger of falling. An owner of prior Husqvarna products I don't think I will purchase any Husqvarna products again. 1st time in my 70+ years that I've purchased a mechanical product that failed to do anything. Very disappointed in myself for not utilizing the saw prior to 2 years or before expiration of warranty. FYI..The Husqvarna help desk was courteous and easy to understand. Saw purchased from Lowes.
Date de publication: 2019-02-07
Rated 1 de 5 de par Unbelievable ! I studied in length about the different brands of chainsaws . I decided to buy this because of the high ratings . When I got home , I studied the manual in detail . I wanted this chainsaw to last for 25 years . I was going to treat it so it would never break down. I owned my last chainsaw for 25 years and the parts were obsolete . I know how to start a chainsaw . THIS ONE DID NOT START !!! I had fresh oil / gas mix 50 : 1 ratio just made . I pulled it about 100 times . I will never ever buy a Husky again .
Date de publication: 2018-01-05
Rated 2 de 5 de par Boggy out of the box Was excited to try out my new saw and was fairly disappointed once I got it running. The low speed adjustment seems to be out of whack and the saw bogs down and struggles to get up to full rpm. Very frustrating that it needs carb adjusting from the factory. Am using husqvarna pre-mix gas too. Really doubt that's a covered warranty thing but I haven't had time to find out yet. I've seen this same saw perform great and my reviews might change once its dialed in and running correctly but nonetheless it's a disappointment when it barely runs right out of the box.
Date de publication: 2018-11-15
Rated 5 de 5 de par This is an excellent homeowner chainsaw First off, anyone complaining that tbis chainsaw will not start or run correctly, you need to learn how to tune it. (This applies to ANY 2 stroke powered device) This is an upper end homeowner chainsaw designed for use around a regular home or large property. It works very well for this purpose. Will it run 100% out of the box? Probably not, heres why: your altitude/humidity level isnt what it was originally tuned for. If you are capable of starting and running a chainsaw, you are capable of learning how to tune it to match your location. It takes watching a few youtube videos then 2-3 minutes a few times a year (as temp changes) to keep your chainsaw at peak operating tune. If you learn how and do this, and keep the chain sharp - this saw will far exceed your expectations.

Rated 5 de 5 de par This saw is beefy! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had it with my 20 yr old Craftsman saw and purchased this reluctantly because of a lot of bad reviews about ppl saying it wont start or run right...I must have gotten a good one cuz this baby cuts through hard oak like butter! It took me like 15 minutes to cut 5 oak pieces with my old saw and I had like 10 pieces cut in a matter of minutes with this new one. I just put gas/oil in and bar oil and it took a little to warm up (was cutting in 30F temps) and then it ripped! I reccomend this saw, powerful and lightweight
Date de publication: 2019-01-14
Rated 2 de 5 de par chain brake works - too well I've owned this saw 6 weeks, used it 3-4 hours. After a chain change the chain brake would not release despite all efforts. Finally just took it off. It's a going machine when it works. ps: Keep the air filter clean, makes a huge difference.
Date de publication: 2018-04-26
Rated 2 de 5 de par Not so Smart Start Let me start out by saying that every chainsaw I have owned over the past 40+ years has been a Husqvarna. I have always been impressed with their quality. It's been 10 years since I needed a new one and all I can say about this one is that I'm deeply disappointed. This Smart Start® starter nonsense is a joke. When I got it I used the Husqvarna premixed fuel and after 20 minutes it started once, sputtered badly and would not idle at all. I got a replacement spark plug and that seemed to help but starting was still completely random. When it DID start it ran fine. Plenty of power considering the size, no complaints there. But's it's just sad that half the effort expended to clear a dead tree off my land was spent trying to start the chainsaw. I will no longer be loyal to the Husqvarna brand.

Rated 1 de 5 de par New Carb needed, now exhaust falls off I have yet to use my chain saw longer then 20 mins. 1st Attempt, I could get it started but would not stay started, using Husqy fuel, and bar oil. Attempted several several times to get it running. Reach out to Husqy , they say take it to shop.. Did, show stated they replaced the carburetor. (New Saw and carburetor is bad). Get it back from shop, and it runs, still not great. Using it for 10 mins after repair, now I go to life the saw, and exhaust falls off. Wife looks at me and says, what just happened, and she does not know ANYTHING about chain saws. I have attempted to contact Husqy, no reply. I attempted to contact store I purchased saw from, no reply. My dad had a Husqy about 40 yrs back and that thing never worked, I figured, 40 yrs or advancement and they would have gotten something correct. Rated 5 de 5 de par My first Chainsaw I've used my saw three times and 3 tanks of gas. It has performed flawlessly. Cutting mostly dead oak trees. Mostly small diameter 6" with a few 10". Easy starting runs like a champ. I bought this model based on advice from a friend in Montana who has been running the same model for over a year.

Rated 3 de 5 de par Time Will Tell [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this saw to prepare for the upcoming hurricane, my house is surrounded by trees. I read the manual carefully before using and like other reviewers had a difficult time getting it to start; I used 50:1 Truefuel and recommended bar/chain oil. When I did get it to run, it would kick off as soon as I released the chain brake, or when I popped the throttle to idle it down. After re-reading the manual (which could definitely use some intuitive re-work) I decided to try and adjust the carb with the T-screw. Through goosing the throttle and multiple restarts I was able to lean out the fuel mix to where it would run without stopping. I must stress I've never owned a chainsaw before and rarely used one, so I don't know if the tweaks I made will affect its life but I did what I had to so it would run. I've used my dad's Stihl which was tuned from the store where he bought it, and there seems to be much more time from idle to full throttle with this Husqvarna than his Stihl. Mine wants to "spin up", and will still occasionally cut out if I pull the trigger too quickly. I'll get it professionally tuned after the season. That being said, it seems to be a quality build, and cuts exceptionally well. I think most of the issues I found could be addressed with a more intuitive manual and better tuning/quality control from the factory.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Great little saw I bought this saw last fall as I had a new wood stove. It was affordable and the 40 CC motor has good power. It really is easy to start. I have processed 10 cords this year and it never even slowed down. The x force chain really throws chips.
