Do not buy
Samsung refrigerators are nothing but bad news Had my refrigerator for just over a year when problems started to develop with the ice maker which started making noises. Discovered that the circulating fan in the ice maker was freezing up. Called Samung and they scheduled a service call. To make a long story short, three service calls later the problem still exists. I have spent hours on the phone with Samsung and am now waiting a call back to see if they will either replace the defective product or reimburse me the cost of the refrigerator. Bottom line, avoid Samsung refrigerators as they appear to share a common design problem related to the ice maker.

Black Stainless = no fingerprints :)
We moved to a new house and after loving our previous Samsung French door/freezer on the bottom, we decided to get something different. The appliances that came with the home are stainless, but not liking the fingerprint issue, we went with black stainless for the fridge. Before the purchase, we asked opinions on the question of the non-matching stainless. We took a chance and are very happy with the black stainless mixed with regular stainless. Most of all, THERE ARE NO FINGERPRINT ISSUES! We like everything about the fridge. It's quiet and the layout of the interior is very functional.

What a mistake I made
Yes this refrigerator looks great however quality and reliability sucks. First I had problems with the ice maker freezing up on the outside. This issue took 1 year to resolve with numerous calls and no results until June 2017. Now The freezer's compressor failed and its only 2 years old. It's now 1 week with no freezer or ice. I have an elderly resident here with no resolutions from Samsung. I have been told by not only an independent service advisor as well as Samsung's technician the best and most inexpensive and fastest way to resolve this issue would be to replace the entire unit ASAP since the dual compressor is a "sealed system."

Pretty as a Picture!
My wife fell in love with the Samsung 4 Door French/Side-by-Side Refrigerator when she first saw one on a Korean Soap (English Subtitled version) either late 2013 or early 2014. She said she was going to get one when they offered a cabinet depth version. Samsung introduce the cabinet depth version at the 2015 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in the Spring and we purchased one for our home. Cabinet depth refrigerators line up nicely with 24" dept of US cabinets but they have much smaller capacity than standard depths refrigerators so we purchased a side-by-side in the Utility Room to augment. The Samsung 4 Door French/Side-by-Side Refrigerator certainly is pretty as a picture...

Really cool refrigerator
So far, I'm really loving my new Samsung fridge. I love that the freezer is accessed by doors instead of drawers, as I've heard quite a few people complain about their drawer-style freezers. The only complaint I have is that there are only two refrigerator drawers (my old fridge had three), and the drawers are fairly shallow, too. Other than that, it is very roomy, pretty quiet, and beautiful to look at. I haven't converted the flex zone yet, but it's nice to have the option should I need it. Having only had it one week, I can't attest to its durability, but I'm hoping that this is the last fridge I'll have to buy for a long time.

Compressor lasted 2.5 years
We redesigned our kitchen through Home Depot and purchased all new Samsung appliances. Overall we have been pleased but the refrigerator section stopped cooling. Freezer still works. Both compressors is running but only cools the upper compartment down to 50 F. We are currently trying to get it repaired and hope the warranty is honored. It's a shame that we paid so much for this product and only got 2.5 years of trouble-free use.
Also water leaks underneath the veggie/fresh food trays. Think it may have something to do with the filter system.
We know that everything isn't always perfect and figure if they correct the issue we will update our rating of this product.

Who designs these?
We bought a house with the Samsung 4 door flex installed. It is impossible to clean. A minor spill of a 5.5 ounce can of tomato juice resulted in 2 hours of cleaning. We need tools and a mechanic to complete the task. When designing objects for daily use, does anyone consult actual users of refrigerators? Obviously not, or there would not be tiny crooks and crannies and even cups in intricate plastic latticework beneath the tops of the bottom shelf. No sprayer nor rag can reach it and said shelf parts cannot be removed without tools. How hard is it to make shelves contain spills for easy cleaning?

One major flaw
Great refrigerator as far as capacity and contour. French doors supply plenty of room for food items, and freezer is more than accommodating for our needs. But this item has one major flaw: the ice maker. This is without question the absolute worst ice maker I've ever seen in my entire life. We've had this refrigerator for a few months now, and I still can't figure out the ice maker. Within that span, the ice tray has frozen completely shut (I had to use a pry bar to get it out), and countless times the ice stops being produced, resulting in me having to chisel away at the frozen pieces around the tray itself and resetting the ice maker. Just now I had to repeat this process, but I stopped short of resetting the ice maker to see how it will respond (chiseled away at frozen cubes up top as normal). All in all, I would not recommend this product to anyone so long as this faulty ice maker is not upgraded/modified.
