very bad flame control!
I am very disappointed in the flame control knob. The knob turns fully 3 1/2 times, but yet the flame goes from off to 100% on in just 1/4 of a turn. Why does the knob turn 3 1/2 times then??? Getting a precise low flame is hard to achieve, and simmering will be difficult with this stove.
Also it would be nice if there was a clip in the pan that held the regulator in place during transit. Now it just bangs around.
Otherwise the stove works well, is compact, is powerful, and is coleman. I'm replacing my 50 year old coleman white gas stove so my kids can cook while i drink coffee ;-)

Triton Stove
The main difference between this and the regular Coleman is the ignition button. I happen to value that feature.

Mixed reviews on this stove.
Mixed reviews on this stove. It's light, easy to use, and does a good job.
It needs some design improvements that in my mind are significant. The burner control knob turns 3.5 full turns. Yet off to 100% on occurs in just 1/4 turn. It makes it hard to get precise flame control. What do the remaining 3.25 turns do????
Also you must firmly push down on the stove with one hand while pushing in the igniter button. Otherwise you will end up pushing the stove off the table.

Great Stove, Gets the Job Done Fast
This is a great little stove. Has good heat control unlike most stove of this class. Boils water fast on high, yet can be turned down low as to not burn foods. Only feedback is that pans have a slight wobble on the grill. This is minor and most won't notice it. Grill is also spaced so that small cups (think bottle cup or sierra cup) can be placed on it without problems for quick cups of coffee. Stove is compact and light. I recommend you get the carry case too as this will keep everything in one spot (even extra propane cylinders).

Works Well - Two Concerns
Took this stove out camping on a three-day trip. It worked very well, heating up quickly and for the most part did all that is required of it.
I would, however, have liked a little more control over the size of flame. The knob rotates several times till you reach the limit, with all but the first quarter turn being full on. Makes it tricky to get a nice simmer on the stove.
The other concern is that the sparker button goes inside the front face of the stove when pushed in and will sometimes stick in. You need to play with it to get it to pop back out.

Runs great!
We used this as our primary stove for a hunting trip. It worked great, started perfect and temperature control was easy. I'm going to ditch the solid tubing to the propane cylinder for a 20 pound tank connection. We camped for 10 days and drove to location so weight is not an issue and would prefer to have tank below the table. Other than that "change" it was exactly what we needed.
