@1560Watts that is about 14.2 Amps at 110VAC, with 0 effective for PF, losses, taken in consideration. The outdoor GFI trips out within about 6 minutes of using this grill. Suggestions how do you make this work?
I own this grill, and never had the GFI trip out. The grill works every bit as well as
a propane/natural gas BBQ. When the GFI trips out, and you hit the rest button,
does it trip out again ??? If so, you may want to consider replacing the GFI outlet.

What is the length and width of the leg stands? I have a small sturdy table and wonder if the legs will fit on it. Thanks
The legs you see across the front are 17 inches and they are 9.5 inches apart from front to back with drip pan suspend between them. So you could put it on table, but I wouldn’t use wood table. BBQ throws tons of heat. steaks cook about 7 minutes for medium rare. We LOVE this bbq

How do you clean it ? Looks like drippings just fall down to bottom , over element and builds up . Would be hard to clean.
Hello! The drippings from cooking will flow down into the removable drip pan beneath the grill. Drippings that fall onto the heat element will burn off. Any drippings that remain in the cookbox can be scraped out with a plastic scraping tool. Thanks!

Great little electirc grill
bougfht this because I have recently sold my house and wasnt able to bring the Weber Gas Grill because of regulations. Researched this and the larger Q2400 Electirc grills chose this based on reviews that its got a similar rated heating element to the larger Grill and as such be able to keep its heat vs ist larger brother.
- Very easy to assemble & use
- Well made
- Works OK, not as fast to heat up as the Gas Grill BUT it does do the job just a bit slower and more convection cooking.
- Cleans up easily
Really Wish it had the same folding side tables as the Gas Q1200 grill and maybe also the Thermometer.
Woiuld recommend to others looking for a portable Electric BBQ

Tired of propane tanks
I'm retired and for the most part grilling is just for my wife and I. I finally got tired of propane gas grills and decided to go electric. This little grill is perfect for our needs. Easy setup, easy cleanup and easy cooking. I never need to worry about running out of gas. When it rains I can cook in my garage with no worries about carbon dioxide built up or propane leaks. I also got the cart this sits on which gives it added portability and gives it the perfect cooking height. If you have the need for entertaining a small group I would recommend the Q 2400. The Q 1400 is perfect for a group of 4 or less.

For the most part, it’s a 4.7 star product. There are a few engineering flaws that could easily be fixed with some custom hacks. It seems that no one actually tests these products for real world functionality. 1.) Trying to wheel this anywhere should be a whole lot easier. The handle to pull it around is just awkward, a total Cracker Jack box / mickey mouse joke. 2.) Velcro, Really? How Chinese can you be? The lid really should have a more reliable locking mechanism to keep it from accidentally flying open. 3.) & the aluminum tray that catches falling grease will & has flown away in the wind when the Gods will it. That, also needs some sort of locking mechanism. C’mon man. Does number one in the industry settle for 4.7?

Best electric Grill
I had an electric grill that worked Ok but it never got fire hot. Today is my first use of this one, and so far I am completely happy with it. It gets plenty hot to cook chicken in a pan, and I will be cooking sausage later. As long as the electric element holds out, it will be used a lot. If the element fails then I will be back for another review.

I owned a cheap off-brand electric grill before. It never got hot enough. This grill gets fire hot. It preheats in the 20 min time frame that the operating guide says that it will be fully preheated. The enamel coated iron grates make all the difference for a hot sear on the meat. Because there are two grates (half and half) they easily lift off of the grill for easy cleaning. Because they are enamel coated, oven cleaner in a garbage bag for an hour makes the grates easy to clean. There is a heat reflection parabola (bowl) built into the lid. It is screwed in, but easy to wipe clean with some cleaner. The parabola (heat reflecting bowl) below the heating element easily slips out so that it can be cleaned of debris and grease. The grease drip catch pan slides out below the grill. It houses disposable aluminum inserts to be cheaply and easily replaced. I use the inserts about ten uses before I replace it. They sell the replacement aluminum inserts at the locations I purchased my grill. Seems very high quality and well built. Not as easy to clean as a cookie baking sheet pan, but much easier to clean than most grills. Bottom line, it grills meat and vegetables very well, even very thick steaks.

Great performance, disappointing life span.
We just replaced our Weber Q 1400 with a new one just like it. We liked the first grill's performance, and were not able to find a different grill that had all the features we wanted when our first one died (controller failed and kept blowing the GFI). We were disappointed that the first one only lasted 3 1/2 years. The grill is about as close as you can get to a gas grill, though it has a much smaller capacity; you can't do a big whole chicken or roast with the limited headroom, and a "beer can chicken" is out of the question. But it does great for steak, chops, burgers, kabobs, etc., and probably would be good for ribs as well (we haven't tried them).

exactly what we needed
we live in a condo and cannot have charcoal or gas on our lanai. This Weber electric grill heats up just as hot as charcoal /gas and grills beautifully. Clean-up was fine after; the grill pieces and the pan clean up in the sink easily enough. we are enjoying using our new purchase.

Weber Q1400560-Watt Electric Grill
I had never used an electric grill. This grill is very easy to use, We had the best steaks. No flare-ups.
The liner for the lid had been mounted backwards by manufacturer. I had to correct this to be able to mount the lid handles.There is no temperature gauge. I recommend buying the Weber Thermoset Plastic Folding Grill Cart.which is custom designed to properly hold the grill at a nice height and also makes the grill easy to move.
