Bargain and Quality
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Full disclaimer this is the first Japanese style saw I have purchased and used. With that said it is much easier to use than its western counter parts and lends itself to a whole host of different uses. It is much more flexible in use, has a pleasant ping sound when you tap it, and is sharp enough to cut through a 2inch thick and 18 in wide Black Locust live edge slab. To give reference Black Locust is as hard as Hickory. The saw made quick work of it. I have made fresh clean cuts on round dows going as small as a 16th of an inch up to a quarter inch in oak and poplar. It cut with ease. I would not hesitate to purchase again. Well worth the money.

great price on a decent pull saw
comparable to Japanese models sold in the USA that are often harder to find. at first I didn't like the handle because it feels plasticy but I like that it's lightweight and that the handle comes off for storage and maybe blade replacement or make your own cool handle. the lock up seems good and I would recommend this over most push saws.

My vintage 11R locking C clamp
I have several of the vise grip 11R locking C clamps that are the older Dewitt Nebraska series I use mine at my camper to take the blade off the mower so I can sharpen it and after removing it I use the 11R clamp to clamp mower blade to a picnic table so I can sharpen it with a file and then put it back on the mower this has been used several times and really works great it is really about all I use it for a few times a season other then that it stays in my bag that has all my ratchets extensions and other socket accessories in it that way if I need it for anything else I have it with me to use.

It worked great for the purpose as well as others
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this to saw through Liquid Nails holding a safe to the wall. It worked great for that and we have since used it for dealing with small tree stumps in a recently cleared field.

Always wanted one - now I have it
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have seen this type of saw used in fine wood working before and had never had a reason to purchase one. On a recent project making doors I had need of a really fine saw, so I finally had an excuse to add one to my tool box. I was not disappointed. Very nice! Did exactly what I needed it to do!

Not like my older marples
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Someone stole my old marples tool that looked a lot like this model. Same color but I was sad to see they didn't have the removable blade that makes this such a convenient tool, but decided to try it anyway. I had always been good at getting those perfect right angles with a Japanese style saw and after several hours of trying to familiarize myself with cutting with this one I pulled out a Caliper and found that it doesn't even have the extra thickness this type of saw is most known. Garbage design. If you want to trim trees in your garden or wood pile it's fine but it has no business being labeled fine finish cut when the blade isn't properly designed

Does not cut very good
It is not the best pull saw. If you have to have one this one will work but not great. I was not happy with how it cuts. My small Irwin dovetail pull saw cuts much better than this saw.
