SAE thread is different than FIP thread
I knew when I read the negative reviews, I finally found the connector I needed!
I have learned that the female end of this particular hose has an SAE thread. It is *ROUGHLY* 2mm different than a standard FIP fitting which it sounds like the negative reviewers neeed, and frankly, I found easier to locate at my local hardware store.
If you dont know which to buy, It’d be a good idea to pick up one of each hose type, One with female SAE and one with female FIP and see which one works when you get home. It’ll mean you’ll have a return in your future but less aggravation up front.
Hope this helps someone.

Cross thread or something.
I was unable to get these threads to start into female regulator hoses. This host won't even screw into its OWN female. Maybe a previous buyer cross threaded it or something. Would love to hear if anyone else had the same problem. going to have to return them.

Not an "Extention Hose" as the descripton claims
This is an adapter hose from 3/8" NPT to 3/8" SAE flare, an extension hose would be male and female ends of the same type. If your looking for an extension, it can be adapted using a fitting from plumbing but because it's for gas it is best to purchase the correct hose and keep the connections to a minimum.

5 ft, rubber propane hose
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] great quality, standard fittings- connectors readily available, great for use from outside 100 lb. propane tank thru wall to inside heater, much easier than bending copper to accomplish outside to inside connection

Great
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Worked great for me. I was installing a 100# tank to my dryer and needed something to go from the regulator to the black iron. This fit the 2 stage regulator sold at Lowes perfect. I got a few fittings also at Lowes to get from the black iron redueced to fit this. Now i have a good "whip" or hose so its easy to park my 100# tank and then plug in the regulator with some flexibility. Very Happy
