I love my new lawnmower.
Holds battery charge for 3 mowings of our average size front/backyard. Its so nice to be able to do this myself. I am happier with my own results than with the gardener I was paying. Furthermore, I am very pleased to be using an electric mower...cleaner, feels safer, and less noisy. Also no more gas blower...I'm raking and brooming leaves...the mulch feature of the mower leaves a neat look with nothing to clean up. This is not an intimidating machine, and I am a petite, female senior citizen. Be sure to wear eye-gear and read the safety instructions. Also watch a You Tube video on how to mow if you haven't done it in a while.

Light and powerful
I was a little hesitant because of the initial cost and if additional batteries will be required. I've only used it twice so far, but have not been disappointed. We don't have a huge yard, but decent for a single family dwelling. The battery has lasted with no issues up to this point and the cut has been even and easy. The lawnmower is very light, which makes it easy to push, but also causes it to jump a little on uneven ground (hopefully redoing our lawn will even that out). I'm still a little concerned about the cost of additional batteries if we decide to expand our Ego line up to other products, but this has been a good start.

Not quite the mower I expected
It has power to cut and a long lasting battery but I have to say it is mostly plastic and light which is problematic. The front end tends to bounce around and not follow the terrain very well like a normal metal, motorized mower. I am thinking of adding weight to the front end. I also feel the handles should be allowed to slide forward instead they have to be fully extended to operate. Overall it does the job but it could be better.

Two batteries malfunctioning after 1.5 years
Save your money for a better brand. Bought a mower and blower a little over a year ago. Was never impressed with the power (like mowing with a Prius) but it got the job done. Now both batteries are malfunctioning. One says it’s overheating despite being all of 60 degrees and the other only holds a charge for 15-20 min. Having 2 go down so soon leads me to believe this is likely common. I originally planned on additional tools so I’d have multiple batteries but am reconsidering that now. My review may change depending on the warranty process but as of now, I would not recommend EGO.

More Powerful than I expected
My yard is totally out of control with weeds and unwanted grass. The first mow of the year I hit a rock and broke my gas-powered Husqvarna mower. That gave me the excuse I needed to invest in electric yard-care tools. I bought the EGO mower, string trimmer, and hedge trimmer, and all three have far exceeded my expectations. One of the best attributes for me is the weight. The mower is light, but still powerful enough to tackle my jungle. I love the adjustable handle, and the easy height adjustment for the wheels. Also, the fact that the handle folds easily for storage is a big bonus. I would highly recommend these yard tools.

Night and day difference vs gas powered lawn mower
I just bought it and used it yesterday - just amazing! Very, very light when handling and mowing compared to the older heavy, gas powered mower I got rid of.
Easy to assemble. I thought it was going to be an hour or more long process - nope! Took me 15 to 20 minutes to figure it all out with very simple and straight forward directions.
Not having to deal with oil and gas anymore is such a huge convenience!!!

Definitely NOT a mistake!
The reason for this review title is that when we dropped off our old gas-powered mower at a local small motor repair/resale shop, one person there told us, after finding out we’d gone electric, that we would regret our choice and that it was going to be the “biggest mistake we’d ever make”. Nope, sorry, sir! We love: the light weight of this mower, its cutting ability, ease of storage (upright, even!), and quiet motor. We’ve used this mower a few times since our purchase, and we could not be happier. We love that we can use the same battery for this mower as for our string trimmer, as well — if we need to. So far, so good!

Pleasantly Surprised!
I was hesitant at purchasing an electric mower. I've always used gas, but when i moved into my house, the grass was already fairly tall (5-6 inches in some areas) and I needed to mow. I had no issues mowing the taller grass, though i had to blow it out the side and not bag it. I think it only bogged out once or twice, but i believe if i keep it maintained there will be no issues. I was able to mow both front and back lawns on a single charge. In fact, i had about 15 minutes of charge left over. Overall, I'm pleasantly surprised at the performance. Quiet yet strong enough to handle regular lawn maintenance.
