Excellent power for all attachments, solid build
I got this along with all of the attachments, but this is a review of just the power head. Since the motor is located in the head, this is by far the most important component of the system.
I was thinking that it would be pretty heavy and big to hold since it houses a good sized motor. Well upon un-boxing I could not help thinking that the power head felt an awful lot like the string trimmer! Of course the head is a little bigger, but it doesn't feel overly intrusive with size.
After using it the first time edging a lot of Linear Feet, I love this thing. To have enough power to edge into my clay dirt without bogging down says a lot. I edged everything I could find which was about a 1/2 hour of edging and only used up about half of a 5aH battery. Nice.
It's quiet, powerful enough, not too heavy . The attachments slide in and lock with such ease. I was expecting a bit more of a struggle adding attachments, but I was dead wrong. They slide right in and lock. easy peasy.
Storage of it is nice, since it is about half the size of a string trimmer (without an attachment attached), it can be stored anywhere. NICE.
The only thing I notice is that if you are tall (6 foot 1 or taller) it feels a tad short when holding it to edge. I have to lean down a little more than I would like. Other than that, it's really a big win.

Great, but...
Absolutely love this tool. Ego makes great tools and this is no exception. I would give it 5 stars, but the tool that I really wanted to see with this was a hedge trimmer pole that articulates. Ego, if you're listening 'Please make a hedge trimmer attachment!! The current small one is great, but when the shrubs are 10ft+ it makes it to small for a bigger job.

It's lightweight, easy to use, and very convenient. It weighs just over what a corded unit would. It powers my edge attachment nicely helps me accomplish the job no difficulties. No electric cord to deal with and no gasoline to worry about makes the job so much more convenient. Using EGO POWER + products is a dream come true. The only issue I have with the power head is the handle. It is not very ergonomic to use. It doesn't lend itself to comfortable operation of the edger.

Built for the Future
As an owner of the EGO tools, I decided to "invest" in this new Power Head (PH) for a simple reason of their new Edger Attachment (EA). As a traditional lawn care person, I have used a "dedicated" gas powered edger for as long as I can remember. And since I have had "great success" with all of the other EGO tools (575 CFM, Backpack Blower, Hedge Trimmer, and the 15" Trimmer), I decided to switch over to "battery powered" tools - as I am tired of dealing with the "hassle" of pulling the starter string every week. Not to mention the gas, fumes and the yearly maintenance with "gas powered" tools.
That said; what got me excited about this new PH is the "awesome" power that was built into this unit (a 2,000 Watt motor). Clearly, EGO is thinking ahead to other tools for this PH, to have that kind of power in a "hand-held" device. Since I got the EA already and have used it 3 times with great success, I am now waiting for their Hedger Attachment (HA) to come out next year. I have too many large trees and bushes that would be great for this HA. Overall, the EA snapped into the PH with ease, and the Wing Knob provides a second level of security, to keep the attachment solidly in place while using the EA. Because of the 2,000 Watt motor at the end of the PH, I found the tool to be "slightly" heavier than my 15" trimmer. Since I have other EGO batteries already, buying the "bare tool" was not a big deal for me, but certainly can see this to be a problem for someone new to the EGO tools. I look forward to seeing what other attachments EGO plan to roll out with this PH ... for now, I am happy to make the switch over this PH and will continue to go GREEN with EGO !!!!!

EGOlogical power head
I love this one. No noise compare to gas . So quiet sometime i ask if the motor work. The filling not get fume or gas in my nose and lungs. My ears not destroy by the noise of gas motor. With gas motor i get cough sometime ,not anymore with EGO. Gas motor 3 time more noisy than EGO motor power head.The double lock very good idea to hold my parts section i connect too. Wow 2 speed on handle. I just used more often speed one for now. Speed two give the power for harder jobs .Great power ,you fill it. See vibrations in gas is terrible compare to EGO motor . I work in landscaping i know the filling

Solid product but trigger is to hard to depress
I just tested this out trimming some grass and weed around my property for about two hours yesterday.
The product is solid and well built and the trimming power was great. However I have a big problem with it and it is the fact that the trigger is way to hard to press down and hold down for an extended period of time. The opposing spring force, although not too hard to overcome for a short time, is too strong to keep depressed for an extended period of time. Even today I feel tired in the wrist because of this. Although I am not a body builder I don't consider myself weak by any means.

Positive viewpoint for EGO Power Head.
Just started using the Power Head with a chain saw attachment a few days ago and was very pleased with it. The extra length allowed me to cut some overhanging tree branches off to permit cars traveling up and down my driveway. I have been an EGO customer for many years now previously ordering and using a String Trimmer, regular Chain Saw, lawn mower and a leaf Blower. They are all really great electric tools and I've never regretted switching over to electric from gas. Please advise me when the Cultivator attachment will be available. I need one of those this Fall for a small garden. Thanks for being a top shelf company and changing the environment to electric. Keep up the great work!

Easy to use
I am a 64 year old lady. This product is amazing! So lightweight (9 pounds) and so easy to use. The rapid-wind feature for the line blew me away. ( I did have to Utube to find that out, though.) This is my favorite
purchase in the past few years. It's like having a new toy. The battery charges really fast and is super easy to snap into place. Thank you for making this product.
