Description
Cette étagère en acier revêtue de vinyle par ClosetMaid vous aidera à organiser l'espace dans votre placard, votre garde-manger, votre garage et plus encore. How hard is it to cut the shelves to the length you need and what tools would you use?
Hi Pepper,
There are two ways to cut the wire shelving.....with a hacksaw or bolt cutters.
The bolt cutter is a much easier process but i would suggest getting a medium to large one as it makes the cutting easier.

End Brackets Don't Fit Properly
We purchased this shelving with the recommended (by ClosetMaid in the Q&A) End Brackets: Model #66205. The problem is the outer support for these shelves is 1 inch. Other ClosetMaid shelves are 2 inches support. The end brackets recommended are for the two inch support. The result is that the end brackets won't properly support the shelves. It will be much weaker. The end brackets recommended should be one inch but I'm not clear where to get those brackets.
If you look at my picture, the bracket would only support the top shelving wires. You want the bottom of the bracket to support the bottom support bar of the shelf. The bracket needs to be shorter.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great product! I searched the internet, Amazon and Home Depot won’t deliver to FPO addresses due to PO Box numbers. Since my overseas move with the Navy I have had difficulty obtaining certain products like this shelf. Lowe’s had no problem shipping my order and the product arrived without any damage. Can’t wait to set up this shelf in my laundry room. Huge thank you to Lowe’s for supporting military overseas, Home Depot advertise its support but doesn’t ship to P.O. Boxes FPO/APO .

wire wasn't straight.
In order to fit against the wall, the large supporting wires must be straight....and the wall must be straight. Good luck with that equation. I had to let some clips sit away from the wall because the wire was not straight; I measured, and it was off 1/8 inch on one end. The curved piece in from of shelf also wasn't exactly perpendicular to the shelf...it was acutely angled. I had to bend the shelving to get it to fit into the side braces. Not what I looked forward to doing to name-brand products.

poor quality and expensive
I purchased the 72"x16" coated wire shelf along with clips and brackets. The push pin clip system was easy to put in drywall but you must make sure the notch in the clip lines up with the opening on the shelf wire.The problem I encountered was the clip opening was too small for the shelf edge to fit in without applying a lot of force resulting in the clips tearing out of the drywall. The easy clip design is not strong enough to take much pressure. My fix was to remove the pin, then remove the clip out of drywall , enlarge the clip grove with a file and replace clip into another stronger anchor ( all at extra expense and time ).
My fault for not checking reviews of this product posted elsewhere but Lowes fault for selling this inferior product
