Simple shelf
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the ClosetMaid hardware and the project went smoothly and quick. I put the shelf in a smaller closet, so the shelf had to be shortened. Bolt cutters, talk about easy and quick. The only other tools I needed were a level and drill. The hardware installed tool free.

Met my needs perfectly
We have ClosetMaid shelving throughout our home - both in the closets and in the garage. We had an addition built a few years ago, and we wanted to continue the look and feel of the rest of the home. It worked perfectly and was easy to install. Easy to cut to size. Needed different supports for stud work and sheetrock. Designed side shelving to hold two copy paper boxes, side by side.

Closet Maid 12 inch deep white wire shelf
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] the Closet Maid wire shelving is a fast, easy and economical way to increase your storage space in areas that have unused wasted space above existing shelving. it comes in different lengths and can easily be cut to the length you need to fit your area. installation is fairly easy and it is a great addition to closets or any other area where shelving is needed to add or increase storage space.

Sturdy Shelves - Easy to Mount
I attached the standards for these shelves on studs 16 inches apart. This gave the shelves plenty of support. The hang track holes are predrilled so the track can be mounted to standard 16" studs without drilling any additional holes. This made mounting the shelves quick and easy. I used the recommended #12 x 2" pan head screws to mount the hang track and standards to the studs so everything is sturdy and tight.

I have used Rubbermaid metal shelving for years without any issue. The Closetmaid brand requires more shelf brackets to support the same amount of weight. I installed 30" wide shelving, and needed to add a center bracket to support the weight of the items stored, so the shelves would not sag in the middle. The items stored were not particularly heavy, but the weight is concentrated towards the center of the shelf.
