You have to press and hold the Setting button on the doorbell for three seconds and then press the push button. Terrible lack of directions
It appears that no one at Honeywell, or Resideo has given thought to why these doorbell push buttons get such a bad review due to the lugs breaking on the bracket when people try to replace the battery. The written instructions are awful, the video instructions online from the company are terrible as well, and do not spend nearly enough time on how to achieve this procedure without breaking the product. The directions should clearly indicate that one puts a small screwdriver in at the bottom left and pushes the tab towards the door frame, then slide the button assembly upwards to disengage it. I don’t think they must realize how quickly a large company can get a bad reputation just by providing really bad directions.

Cheap cheap flimsy mounting bracket
Same issue as most, doorbell works fine, mounting bracket breaks the first time you tale it off to change the battery. Cheap cheap cheap !

Poor Quality Door bell
I bought this door bell (PRWL400W2000/A) little more than six months ago. Since then, bell switch sometime works other time do not. Sometime switch get stuck and bell keep ringing. Last week I put my hand on door bell switch and it fell off. I notice that hook on back grey plastic plate were broken. I do not know where to get this plastic plate, so I have to replace the door bell.

Design / Manufacturing Flaw
A problem I found with the push button is that the battery is not held securely in place; I installed a thicker piece of foam on the battery cover and it appears to have cured the problem of it not working. This appears to be a design / manufacturing flaw.

Broke so quickly!
Bought this a year ago and had to change batteries today. The mounting bracket snapped when I removed the back. I went to the store to buy a brand new unit and this didn't work at all. So I'm stuck with 2 doorbells that don't work. Correction, one does work but the mounting bracket doesn't.

Do not buy
I purchased the Honeywell doorbell with flashing light for my dad who is hard of hearing. He loves the doorbell. Unfortunately I have purchased 2 push buttons. Neither of them withstand Cleveland, OH weather. If it gets below 36 degrees the buttons do not work. If he takes them off of the house and brings inside after they warm up they work again. How can you sell a doorbell that doesn't work in cold weather?

Very poor quality
I purchased this push button and used the You Tube directions (printed ones had a lot to be desired) to separate bracket from the front to put in the battery. So very fragile - that doing so broke both very tiny hinges on the bracket. Customer support would not help me.
