HI, I am replacing a PowerBolt 1000 with a PowerBolt 2 and have just one problem........I have 7 other Weiser locks - all keyed identically - but this new lock uses a different key - wide slot on one side v narrow slot. Unable to re-key. Any suggestions?

I bought this lock and it worked well for a few days and now entering the code does not open or close the door. What is wrong? the batteries are good because the light is coming up but the mechanizm does not work. What can I do?
Sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your lock. There could be a few reasons why your lock is not functioning properly. Best to call our Help Line at 1-800-501-9471. They can help troubleshoot the problem for you. If that does not work, you can bring it back to your Lowe's store (along with the receipt), and exchange it for a new one.

Hello, can this be used with an existing Weiser door latch mechanism instead of the deadbolt that is provided? It’s for a door with a buzzer latch. Thanks
Weiser model # 9GED14600-10 is not compatible with a door with a buzzer latch configuration. This model is a stand alone keypad deadbolt. Please visit your local Lowe’s special order counter for alternate options, pricing and availability.

can this be smart keyed to our existing door knob-also a Weiser? how does the keypad work with 2 numbers on each button?
Yes it can keyed to the powerbolt.
It works fine with both numbers on one button.
if your combo includes 1 and 2, press the button twice.

Weiser model # 9GED14600-10 Powerbolt is an electronic deadbolt with a turn piece on the inside, this model does not include a handle.

Input is a little slow
I got this on sale for $69 and it was well worth it for the price. This is the second house I've installed one of these on. I'm not sure what the previous brand was but I do know my previous band was much quicker to respond. With this touchpad I have I have to take care to go a little slower while punching in the code.
It does work well and I haven't had any issues in the cold yet, but I haven't tested in Jan or Feb.
Install was fairly easy and took me about 20 minutes to swap out my previous deadbolt.

Wire harness connector issue
Just installed this and it went very smooth with the exception of the wiring harness. The connectors are virtually microscopic in size and Getting the male and female ends to connect was extremely difficult. The colour coding ensures the alignment is correct but between my wife and I it took multiple attempts to get them to connect. Had they just clicked in together I’d have no issue but we had to apply a lot more pressure, even using pliers to try and get the two ends to connect. While we got the lock to function we are not confident the harness is going to stay connected as it never clicked in but after trying for a half hour it was enough. I’ll probably take it back as the lights didn’t come on when buttons pushed, further leading me to believe it’s not connected properly.

Had a lot of trouble re coding this lock until I finally had a good read of the instruction manual where I found that you have to press the lock button after entering the code. This is unlike their newer more expensive model that just unlocks after the code is put in. Otherwise, no complaints.

Easy to install, can't rekey to schlage.
Very easy to install but I was replacing a 20 year old weiser electronic lock that had flat buttons that were too hard to press.
Only complaint is that I can't rekey to my schlage one key system. Now chances are I'll never use a key in that door so it's a minor issue. I don't want more keys to carry so won't even keep it on me.
Great featuresite such as 6 combos and a one time use combo. This is great for a cottage if you need to let someone in.

Easy to install and use
This keyless lock set is very easy to install with clear instructions. The only issue I had at all was to make sure it was straight. It took about half an hour from start to finish to install and get this unit working. I highly recommend it.

Good price for great features
Bought this on sale. The installation and instructions were spot on. Operation would be better if it was smooth when locking and unlocking, it makes little loud noise. Bronze color matches with current hardware, lighted keypad and the ability to rekey to old key configuration. Except the old key was slightly different so couldn't do it, even then I was not able to use the provided smartkey. It would not click when placed into the slot. !!! Otherwise its good.
