Simply unbelievable.
For the price I wasn't all too sure the saw was what I wanted. I've only had corded jig saws in the past and even then, I've only owned two of them.
The Metabo was much cheaper than the yellow or red tools. At the store I grabbed ahold of the Metabo. It felt good in my hand, and I know from using a jigsaw for hours at a time they can ware a person out.
I took a chance and took the Metabo Jigsaw home.
Wow! This saw is so smooth running and the feel after using it for an hour or so is really nice. I was amazed how long the 18V battery lasted. Before on the corded models I havd from different makers I was wishing I had a battery to run out due to the fatigue involved. Not the Metabo.
For the price, comfort, and durability, there is no way I'de purchase another brand JIG Saw.

Great buy
Doing some trim work and needed another jigsaw. So I grabbed this one from Lowe's and I'm glad I did. I love the new blade changing system so nice.

Great Jigsaw for Small Project
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this jigsaw as a present and I have used it on three projects. I enjoy the freedom to cut without cords. The power is a bit less than my corded jigsaw but that was expected. One project was making 24 inch diameter discs from 3/4" plywood. With this thickness of wood keeping the pressure light was key to keep the blade from flexing too much. In the end, a great tool to break out when the bandsaw or plug in jigsaw is required.

Brought this for backyard project. Glad that I got this tool as it makes the job many times easier. Extremely handy, powerful and easy to use.

Disappointing
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I own at least 15 other Metabo/HPT 18v or Multi Volt tools, all of which I've been happy with. I purchased this several months ago & it was the first disappointment I've found in the line. To start with, the saw has somewhat of a cheap feel to it. Worse, the cut tends to drift substantially at times, even when using a new, sharp blade. It requires an Allen wrench to change the bevel, & has just average power, even with a higher AH battery. I hope the manufacturer goes back to the drawing board on this, as it doesn't deserve to carry the Metabo/HPT name in my opinion.
