excellent for the price
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the saw for a quick project at home. I needed to cut a window between the kitchen and living room. I needed to cut the 2x4s straight and easily. This saw worked flawlessly and it also has variable speed right at the trigger so It saved me from having to atop to adjust like some of the others. The only flaw is the blade that it comes with, it is very flimsy and bend easily.

Decent saw. Blade problem fix
This is a decent saw but I do agree with others that it has trouble holding onto to blades. I found that if you run a 5/32” drill bit through the locking pin eye on the end of the the blade before putting it in the saw, the saw will now hold the blade securely. This helps the locking pin on the saw sit deeper into the blade locking pin eye. I ran my Milwaukee metal blades roughly through some pipe lots of times with lots of vibration and the blades did not come out once! If for some reason the saw still lets go you could try a drill bit one size up from 5/32”. Now I don’t have a reason to find a different saw. I’d say craftsman should change the locking pin design then they would have a good smaller saw that meets all my normal project needs

Works great with one caveat
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The saw is powerful enough for everything I've thrown at it. Changing blades is a breeze with the quick release feature. I only have two complaints. First, there's no safety switch for the trigger. A little scary, but fine as long as you excercise caution. Second, when the saw is vibrating enough and simultaneously having pressure exerted on it while cutting the blade can release from the saw and wedge itself into whatever you're cutting. This happened several times. Maybe it's a defective unit, or maybe it's just life with this saw.

Spits out blades
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The least bit of a bind would cause it to spit the blade. Used it for one day and it just got worse and worse. Just before I took it back, it was so bad you wouldn't even really feel it bind and the blade would just pop out. Something internal in the keyless chuck was obviously rounding off a little more every time it happened. Returned for a refund.

Blade Clamp Fails
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As others have said, the poor blade clamp design leads to the blade staying in the wood. I had to return this until as 3 of 4 4x4s held the blade & the saw didn't. Spend the extra $20 on the DeWalt 10amp with 4 way clamp design.

Great tool with exceptional power!!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used this during the demo of my house and the rebuild of my house. Was very impressed with the performance but it is a bit on the heavy side. The weight of this tool though isn't an issue because of the power it has. I can live with how heavy it is. Good thick cord. Love the ease of changing blades. Comfortable handle and grip and the power button is variable speed which is also a definet plus in my book.

Clamp design is downright dangerous
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The blade clamp design is clearly defective - the blade can fly out at any moment. Not only does it render the tool unusable, but there's no telling where the blade will end up.
