How many keys does it come with?
One. Battery lasted about 2-3 years and gave a warning before going dead. I have never actually used the key and just taped it on the Manual.

Can you get a thick door kit for this lock? My door is 2-9/16 " thick.
Unfortunately this lock will not fit a door that thick. The thickest door it can fit on will have a width of 2 1/4". If you have any further questions feel free to call us at 8888059837 and we'll gladly assist you.

How well does the key pad hold up to the elements. Will it withstand rain/snow if in an open area?
This lock is suitable for a front door as the keypad is designed to be able to withstand the elements, but the interior motor still does have to be protected from the elements. We have French doors and it appears that Schlage doesn't make a matching "dummy set", so I am considering getting two of these. Does anyone know if the deadbolt can be removed in order to allow the first deadbolt to lock into the second door?
I just installed a set on French doors and it worked like a charm. On the dummy set (a set you convert into a dummy) you just leave the latch/bolt out but it fits together just fine and looks exactly. Both the latch and the dead bolt lock into the fixed door.

We bought this lock but don't like how the key entry lock just keeps spinning around and it doesn't seem to catch the deadbolt mechanism, is this the design or do we have a faulty one or are there tips?

I bought this for my elderly parents worked great for about 2 years. Then stopped working, reset it to factory settings and worked for a day. Lifetime warranty except on electronics 1 year warranty. Who cares about a lifetime warranty if your electronics are terrible and only have 1 year warranty. DO NOT BUY plus I think it is over priced compared to its competitors.

Long lasting battery thanks to manual lock.
Unlike other key code lock systems the schlage lock system manual locks it. This allows for the battery life to last significantly longer than other locks that automatically lock. My contractor recommended them for this reason. This is my second set of locks with schlage (new house). Love it!

Worst lock ever
Don’t buy this lock. I purchased a second one after thinking the first was a dud... nope. The supplied code from the manufacture would only work when it wanted to, my new password would work when it wanted to... going to return for a third time.. skip on this product!

Works as advertised
I have 8 of these since 2018, over a couple of properties. Daughter used to loose keys. Not an issue any more. Great for tenants, just change the code when they move. Only issue is when the battery starts to go, the lock acts up. Fresh battery and everything is good

So far it's great
Used this to replace a Wiser finger scan lock which was an expensive disaster. The lock needs a 2 1/8 hole, and my existing lock was smaller, 1.75 inches I think, so I needed to get a jig (from Lowe's on sale as luck would have it) and expand the opening. (This was for the keypad/deadbolt). The latch which we replaced was an old brass model which had lost it's finish. Hopefully this set is more durable. The other plus on this model is that you enter the code and unlock the door by hand. On the last one a motor did that, and often lacked the oomph to pull the bolt all the way back, No such problem with this design. My other pro on this is there are actually ten digits to program. Others have two numbers per button, which effectively limits the number of different codes which can be entered. Hopefully this is a more secure option. The instructions were easy to follow, including how to add/remover user codes. I'm not sure how well it will stand up to the elements yet, but it it does it will be a great purchase.

Nice product
Only problem is having to convert old deadbolt hole from 1 1/2" to 2 1/8". A little tricky to do, but you tube is your friend. I was lucky and had a door handle hole jig so no problem. Installation very easy and easy programming.

Terrible
After about a month of having this door knob installed, it stopped working. It won’t lock and sometimes it won’t allow us to unlock it. It’s garbage now after only 3 months. Would not recommend.

Solid and it works
The outside knob appears to be very loose with no indication if this is how it is or if I made a mistake with the installation. Initially appeared very bulky but once installed all good.
