Scotch Magic Tape A Household Necessity
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As far as I know Scotch Brand tape was not around when I was born in 1932. We used flour and water to make a homemade glue. We wrapped everything and sealed it with this white goo that we were quickly able to make. The growing up years were the same, but then along came tape. Tape was magic, so easy to use, inexpensive and so very handy.
Magic it was then; today, ever more so as it is almost invisible.
A household cannot do without it: attaching notes, wrapping presents, security sealing, sticking pictures drawn by grandchildren on the refrigerator, mounting photos in the albums or securing them in frames.
Scotch tape has so many uses it is a household NECESSITY.

It's Magic
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My hobby is sweepstaking via internet or mail. I buy envelopes in bulk and often find the gummy
envelope flaps aren't so adheisive so I use tape to reinforce them.
I purposely search for the Scotch Magic Tape when shopping for sweeps supplies. I use the tape to secure the envelopes don't come open and spill out the contents in transit.
Scotch Magic tapes are perfect - they afford me the opportunity to send my information with confidence . The tape is strong , easy to work with , clear so my correspondance is neat, and most importantly never breaks off before the end of the roll. A great and affordable product ..

The new dispenser stinks
The tape is great but who came up with the new dispenser. It does nothing better than the old one. The area to pull tape up off the dispenser is now too small for you finger. When the tape gets too lose it sticks to the dispenser much more frequently. You have to work harder especially one handed to pull the tape up when it does get stuck to the dispenser. And the bump on the bottom makes it more difficult to use when one hand is already holding wrapping paper. Also I noticed that I had many more instances of the tape folding over and sticking to itself than with the old dispenser.

This tape is actual magic
About a year and a half ago, I knocked the driver side mirror off of my Chevy Tahoe in a parking garage. At the time, the only thing I had in my console was a roll of Scotch tape. I figured I'd tape it temporarily until I got it fixed - Scotch tape on a heavy duty car mirror couldn't last long. A year a half later and my mirror is still held on by around 12 strands of Scotch tape. It's been through rain, snow, wind, 400 mile trips to Las Vegas, car washes, door slams - the mirror doesn't budge. I'm not a big review-writer, but the stuff is actual magic and whoever is reading this must know.

Sticks ok but hard to stay peeled on roll.
I have bought 3M products over the years and have been satisfied overall. Always thought their products were high quality. This Magic tape roll is too thin and cheap. It does not stay peeled on the roll and it makes it extremely difficult to start a new tape strip peel. After taking a piece of tape off it sometimes it doesn't rip off correctly and it sticks on the roll making it hard to start a new tape strip. If it was just a little bit thicker and stronger it would be better. I do not recommend this cheaply made thin tape. I will have to find another quality brand.

Scotch MAGIC Tape
I have been purchasing your Magic Tape for many years but the recent 3 packs I have purchased I have not been able to use, unfortunately. You cannot use the green strip (if the roll has one) to start the tape as it splits into many strips and you certainly cannot find the end. What has happened? Is the tape thinner than it used to be? Has the manufacturer changed? I await your reply asap. Thank You.

Nothing magic about the magic tape!
I work in a school with 3000 students where we use a lot of 3M products. We've always been happy about the quality up till now. Without a dispenser it is impossible to get hold on the tape even when it's a new roll. The green lit doesn't come off easy.... Many colleagues get frustrated about it. So now we've bought dispensers but with our fingernails we can't get a grip on the tape. I decided to take some of them back home for the weekend. Today I succeeded in putting 8 rolls on a dispenser (in 32 minutes yeah!) using a potato knive to loosen the tape. I had to throw a lot of tape in the bin though before getting result. I wonder if the employees at 3M use this tape? I can't imagine anyone finding this tape easy to handle. I would love to see an instruction video. :-))) Please change this tape into magic because this one is not good for the image of 3M!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My self and every member of my household without fail always reach for the scotch brand because whether it's for something as simple as keeping an envelope or opened package closed we know if it's scotch tape we don't have to check back later to see if it's still closed or not, and yes we have tried other brands some less expensive and some more expensive but there is always some issue with the others such as it either won't tear because its too thick or too flimsy or will tear but raggedly or there isn't enough stick to it and the package that you have taped will open after the glue wears off the tape, with scotch we know what we are getting so we will always grab the scotch over the others.
