I would like to buy this product, but use a better valve and flexible stainless mesh hoses to connect water into unit and from unit to tap. Will unit manifold accept standard 3/8 stainless mesh tap connection hoses?
No it will not it is push in connection to make life easy

I would like to know which is the filter that needs to be replaced , and how soon , also can I graduate to a three filter system.
The two cartridges used in the system are model CF2 and 1M, both are available at Lowe's. For greater performance, use Rainfresh VC1 or LR1 in place of CF2.

This system can accommodate the fluoride filter,homemaster cff25-10 jr F2,if i replace the ceramic filter with the fluoride filter ? I would appreciate all replies. Thank you and have a nice day.
Cannot find a location where the filters can be brought for recycling. Reside in St. Catharines. Our recycling for our area indicated they can be put in the garbage but not recommended. Where do we take the used filters?

Good if your a handy person
This unit makes great tasting water but you better be handy as when it comes time to change the filters you needs to do some work .
You always have to lube the o rings and I find there is never enough lube given to you and you needs a food grade lube .
when putting it back together half the times it leaks on me and I have to remove the blue housing and do it all over again if your in the city do not waste your time get the twist so much easier to change the filter if your out of city limits like on a well this is where this would it be needed in my opinion make sure you install it in a easy to reach area

Bought this recently to replace a 4yo Glacier Bay premium RO system. It took less than 15 to hook up as most of my original filter plumbing worked with this unit. Then my troubles started! I turned on the water, there was a bang and the bottom of the ceramic filter blew clean off, then the jars started leaking. Not wanting to deal with Lows warranty department I went bought another ceramic cartridge and a new set of O-rings. after carefully installing the new parts it seems ok now but overall I’m not very impressed with the build quality. Our awful farm well water tastes great hence the 5 stars.

Best investment ever
I've had this product for over 6 years now . I could not be without this system ever . As for the few bad reviews , what I can see is , if you put even the best of products in the wrong hands , they blame the product , but its their inabilities that are at fault , not the product . This kit does the job A-1+ and is cheap and easy to maintain . Easy to install for the knowledgeable person . I recommend NOT using the piercing valve that comes with the kit . Use a compression ball valve instead . Excellent product .

Simply fantastic !!
Have had this product for 2 years now. This product does exactly what it claims. Our town water occasionally smells like a pool as they put too much chlorine. This unit filters it to zero. Cannot smell or taste any chlorine. Also water comes out crystal clear. Easy to install and operate. Filter changes are simple and the carbon filter is only $10.- while the ceramic is cleanable (have not changed it yet). Beat that!! Well made Canadian product and we love it. Highly recommend

Great Product!
We bought this product and installed it in our townhouse and absolutely love it! I did not use the hardware that came with the kit but instead bought my own so it was a little more expensive, but worth the cost - I did not feel right puncturing my water pipes and actually could not given the type of plumbing installed.
Installation was very simple and took me only about an hour (after the hole was drilled into the counter top).
I clean the ceramic filter every 3-months and will replace both filters once per year.
Getting the old filter out is easy just have to follow the instructions - haven't had any issues with changing filters.
Overall very happy with the purchase and when I do have questions e-mailing Rainfresh gets an answer within 1-2 days and they are very helpful.

Leaky O rings par

I had an earlier version of this system. It leaked at the top because O rings not sealing.
I bought a whole new system but got a leak at the top because of faulty seal again.
I will buy new set of O rings to protect money spent. If they leak I will throw the system away and never buy rainfresh again. It should be simple to provide a good seal

Leaks from system itself (not connections to it)
Terrible .
Rubber ring between blue and white plastic does not hold water pressure properly.
replaced already with no luck.
Went placed before filtration system is open on 5-10% only and yet water is coming out drop by drop between blue colb and white base.

the worst filter
we installed it this fiilter on our business one day later the pipe exploded the damage over 200k for 4 business very disappointed
