Does not meet building code requirements
Do not buy this product since it is not certified to meet building code requirements in Canada.
I bought this product for my project, but it is does not have engineering specs that are certified by the provincial engineers that it meets building code. I've contacted Pylex directly and they confirm that they do not have the certifications.
The city inspectors had me remove it and use wood stringers to pass inspection.

Very poor design
We purchased these when we rebuilt our back deck. Although they are easy to attach to the deck and offer nice even sturdy steps the design is terrible to put the boards on the steps. You have to place the board and mark from the bottom then drill, hope that your marking was perfect so you can line up to the holes when you place them. There is no room to drill them from the bottom, drill in screws or use a rachet socket to tighten nuts. We decided to use carriage bolts to hold down the steps which was a terrible idea as to tighten and we had to lay on the ground and tighten with a flat wrench. The other issue is that the part that the stairs screw to is "U" shaped so you can't use a washer. We used 4 supports and by the time we got 3 stairs (6 boards) fastened we had wasted 1 1/2 hours. The old supports we have on our front stairs looked similar but the part you screw into is flat iron and were much easier than these to attach the wood to.
