Considering the cold temps here in Edmonton, the amount of snow I have pushed and shoveled with it & the number of years before it failed, it's well worth the price. I'm going to the store today to pick up another one. This product worked very well for several years before the plastic sections that grip the handle cracked. I "welded" up the cracks using hot metal "staples" using a nifty electric tool my sister-in-law had bought for this type of repair. Got one more year out of it. Once you have used this back saver, you'll never go back to shoveling without one. One warning: when pushing snow across the front of you - side to side - be careful not to let the metal, quick-release bolt head hit your knee. Don't ask me how I know (it could have been much worse). This is not reason enough to avoid the product - just use it properly. Maybe this time I'll wrap some padding around the bolt.
