DeWalt/Porter-Cable/Delta Sander
DeWalt, Delta, Black & Decker and Porter-Cable are part of the same company. I purchased this exact sander from Lowes but in the Porter-Cable brand. I've used it extensively on many different projects. This is an excellent sander. Good power and speed. Easy to control and hold. 1/4 sandpaper sheets work perfectly. Dust collection is excellent when used with my wet/dry vac. It will generate serious dust without the vacuum installed. My unit came with a hole pattern cutter for using the dust collection.
My only issue is with the sanding pad, otherwise I'd give this sander 5 stars. I discovered that certain types of sandpaper (wet/dry type - but not all brands) have backings that react with the sanding pad foam. As a result, the paper stuck to the foam pad and tore some of the foam off when I tried to remove the paper. This caused sanding "deadspots" on the sandpaper. I was able to purchase a replacement sanding pad from Porter-Cable (which came from Black&Decker).

DeWalt Sander
Looked large and heavy when I first saw it but it was actually light and easy to use. Works good and should last a long time. My last on was good for over 10 years.

Get the Random Orbit Sander Instead
I needed a new sander after my last one died. At first, this palm sander seemed pretty good, but I have a few criticisms. First, the power button is a little flaky. Sometimes it turns on easily, other times it does not. Second, I feel like it will FLY through the sandpaper. If you're not careful (see pics) you can easily chip the square pad. Third, and finally, it's tough to control at times. The random orbit sander is very smooth. This palm sander is pretty erratic when working with heavy grit paper.

Pretty good sander, but has switch design issue
After having this problem with the first one and returning it, second sander has the same issue. The power switch does not want to turn on after a couple uses. The only way I can now turn it on is to use a flat screwdriver to press into the on portion of the button. No amount of finger pressing works. And, once it's on, it often cuts off and you have to repeat the process. Very frustrating!
I do like the 'new' paper mounting method. Still not great but better than it used to be.
It would be nice to include adapters and retainers for different shop-vac hoses and not just Dewalt.

DEWALT - 1/4 Sheet Palm Grip Sander
Bought this sander two weeks ago to sand some hard to reach areas of the floor that I was finishing as well as for upcoming woodworking projects. Great little sander except for one major flaw....really wish the electrical cord was three- (3) feet longer.
Was using it yesterday to sand a door that I am building...again...really wish the electrical cord was just three- (3) feet longer...that is all...just three more feet.

IT is OK
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great sander for getting paper on and off quickly.
Down side is that the cord is stiff and not very long, I prefer the makita soft and no kink cord with 8-9 feet of length.
Also the on-off switch is in the same location and same color as the paper release button. not as user friendly as it could be and seeing that little bitty yellow line to indicate on. You guys can do better, Like your plunge router which is excellent and your 735 x planer which has great reviews and is my next purchase.

Sanded okay, vaccum bag kept falling off.
Unless applying direct pressure overhead you are not going to get an even sanding. Plus the vaccum bag kept falling off.
