Disappointed. Returning to store.
Two big problems. One, this stove does NOT put out enough heat for our 1600 SF home. We are loading it constantly and can barely get our house warmer than 67º. We have had to supplement with our electric furnace and a propane space heater. It's 59º when we wake up! Two, the firebox is WAY too small and poorly designed. It is difficult to put in more than a couple pieces of firewood at a time, AND coals fall out everywhere EVERY time we open the door. This would be a fine stove for a smaller area and if you don't mind adding a piece or two of wood many times each day. Just be really careful when opening the door- no bare feet, and no carpet or floor that could be damaged.

Solid value for the $$$$
This stove fires easily, and puts out plenty of heat for my 1200 sq. ft single level brick rancher. The ash pan set up is a little,"cheesy", but other than that it is a great little stove. And the ash pan is not something that makes this stove a bad deal. I have been using wood as the primary source of heat for 7 years now and this stove has proven to be a great performer. After looking at some high end models I selected this stove as a replacement for my old worn out wood burner....no regrets.

Good stove for the money
Takes a little time to burn in so the paint stops fuming but it works great. Will burn for 8 hours with dry oak. I was a little disapointed to see a made China sticker. I thought it was made in the USA. Good deal overall.

2000 Sq. Ft. possible
Picked up this stove from store. First season to use. So far so good. If I am going to get that many sq. ft. heated though I would have to be able to attach it to duct's like a furnace otherwise I don't think so. Need tendering. If you are able to inspect every 4 hrs. through the night it is good to add a couple logs at a time in the dampened down mode if you are with it. This will insure stove itself does not get too hot. You want to keep your gaskets in good shape! Happy New Year! Attaching 2 pics w/stove roughed in

Door needs work
First of all I will change the rating on this if us stove responds positively and fixes it. However the problem I have, I bought it a few months ago, and I finally got around to being able to spend some time with it. I had noticed that it burnt real hot even when you had to air cut down, and it wouldn't go through the night while still having coals left in the morning. Once I got a chance to look at it, I discovered that the way the door handle is where it just pushes down, as soon as you let go of it, it starts moving back up again and it breaks the seal so far I haven't found any way to keep that handle down. They need to come up with some way of locking the handle in place when you close it. Right now it's pretty much useless I can't control the temperature because the door opens up and it just burns hot, and I really can't control how long it burns or keep coals through the night.

Great Value !
Owned my stove for two months and it has been great. Can be set closer to walls than many competitive stoves and came with a blower. Love my new heat bills and the quality of the stove for the price!

Great stove and great heat output!
Had this stove for 2 seasons now. It still works fabulous and puts out enough heat to blow us out of the room we have it in (16x20, with this stove being the ONLY source of heat in this room). The cats love to lay next to it when it's going, I don't know how they can take all that heat LOL. The blower on high is about as noisy as a box fan blowing. I'm sure with the stove positioned right in an open floor plan, it would keep 2000 sq. ft. cozy enough. Keeps coals overnight (once I figured out how to use the damper to my advantage). The cleanout at the bottom is good for when I'm lazy and don't want to shovel out the ashes ;). Only one drawback: You can use 20" logs across the unit left-to-right, but front-to-back they need to be 12".(I just cut my wood accordingly). If you're looking for a deeper firebox, go with the next size up. That being said, overall, you cannot go wrong with this product! It's a well made stove and works great.

Cracking
My wife and I bought a house with this stove in it and I was impressed with how well it heated our 1600 square foot home. 60° to 75 in a little over an hour with good dry juniper. That being said within 3 months of using this stove (and I'll confirm with the previous owner on age) but in 3 months all four corners on the stove itself started cracking and the blower has basically quit.
