Doesn't' work well for commercial spaces
It works okay, I bought this in a bind and should have known for the cost it wasn't going to be great. I measure office spaces and warehouse spaces for my job and it struggles to get measurements. You have to hold it there for a few seconds after taking the measurement or it errors out or gives a very inaccurate measurement. It also has a hard time determining measurements over 50ft. I end up having to retake it several times to get what I hope is an accurate measurement. It has a full battery so its not that. It is probably a great laser if you're only measuring residential houses or small projects but it doesn't work for office spaces or warehouses.

Great addition to my toolbox
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great tool that I've used multiple times when measuring for flooring, cabinets, square footage, etc. It's so simple to use, i let my wife use it and she prefers it over a tape measure. Actually, i prefer she use it over a tape measure because well, i'll just say her measurements are usually only off by about 3-5 feet. LOL. Read the instructions and you will be a pro in no time with this measurer. It will memorize separate measurements and give you a total square footage which is great for us since our second job is to buy houses to renovate for rental income. Try it out. You won't be disappointed.

Better than a tape measure!
I'm a Real Estate Agent so I wanted a compact device that I can take quick room measurements for my clients as we tour different homes. Also great for ceiling heights, outdoor buildings, etc. The 100 foot version is he way to go. I did buy a separate belt clip carry case as the device does not come with any case.

Old model, new price
I never opened the package. Once I bought it, I found out that it was an old model of the Bosch laser measurement devices. More recent models had longer ranges and more capabilities. That would have been OK if the price reflected that it was old technology. Check out the Bosch website to make sure you are getting the most capacity for the tasks you are wanting to accomplish. I am sure it would have worked fine for what it was but I didn't want to pay as much as I did for older technology and lesser capability. I took it back.

Works great
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wasn’t too sure at first but this thing measures quick and easy. No tape flipping over or twisting. Place and push a button. Easy to use and easy to read.

Not impressed
It's a good tool for long measurements, but would be nice if it gave you the option to measure in inches, not just feet. For projects where more precision is required, having to convert measurements to inches with a calculator is a pain. Easy feature they could have built in, since it's just a matter of programming the algorithm in the device. Nice that you can switch to metric, that's what I ended up using, since meters to centimeters can be converted at a glance. I give it 2.5 stars

Cannot set readout accuracy; errors
This unit, and all of the current Bosch laser measures, will only read out in 1/32" accuracy. There is no way to set them to read out in 1/16 accuracy (or any other unit of accuracy). I verified this with Bosch technical support. This is disappointing, and even a bit deceptive, since their published specifications for the unit say it has an accuracy of +/- 1/16" -- you would think the unit could be set to the accuracy units used in the published specifications. All of their marketing images show the unit being used in building/construction applications, where the standard accuracy is 1/16". No one wants to do mental math to convert 32ths to 16ths. I also got several "Error" messages when trying to make measurements -- while indoors, well below the published 100ft capacity (the measurement distance was about 50ft). I was very disappointed in all this, and will be returning the unit for a refund.
