Is the backsplash optional, or is it part of the top? I’d prefer not to have the backsplash.
The backsplash is added after installation. You are able to leave it off.

I wanted to buy this beautiful vanity but there are so many complaints . The top seems to have major flaws and I am wondering if anyone ever got a repair or replacement. Did you get looked after to your satisfaction free of charge.

I was cleaning the bathroom and had a spray can cleaner that I placed on the countertop. Afterwards there are a couple circular lighter marks on the counter now. How can they be removed?

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT!
I bought two of these to make a double vanity in my kids bathroom and it looks amazing. The tops were easy to shave down and a little bit of caulking made them look like one whole piece. We are getting ready to redo our master and I will be doing the same thing. I can not say enough about these vanities. The pictures online do not do them justice. I even bought two small matching upper cabinets (from else where) and it added an extra touch. We have had them for about 6 months now with a 10 and 13 year old using them and they are holding up great! I did change the handles to match my more industrial look I was going for.

Beautiful, but not worth it
We based our entire bathroom remodel on these vanities. We bought 3 total (1-48” and 2-36”). They are gorgeous and well made, especially for the price. However.... they are terribly designed. Standard plumbing is too low so we had to cut out the back and part of the base behind the doors on the base of the cabinet. Also, our plumbing was not exactly centered so we had to switch out the valves to turn sideways. Lastly, the vanity tops do not clean well. After one cleaning using an all natural, non abrasive cleaner, the tops have permanent water marks. Almost like the glaze is rubbed off. I am so disappointed in these because they really are beautiful.

Great design and well made
I was looking for another vanity to replace an old one. I only saw this online and it was still in the box at the store, it wasn't displayed yet. Lowe's associates were nice enough to get this down from the top of the bin it was in so I could examine the top (I had a bad experience from another vendor). It was stunning and well packaged. Once installed it has proven to be really well made. The drawers and doors open and close smoothly and with a solid feel. It's sturdy and didn't need to be attached to the wall. I changed out the bronze hardware to brushed nickel and put a nickel waterfall faucet on it. Really looks good against the espresso finish. I'm really happy with this vanity.

Very nice economical choice
A vanity ordered from Home Depot never got delivered and Lowes came to our rescue with this vanity being available at our local store. It looks nice and the size fit the opening we had. The vanity base is 46.5 inches wide. The countertop width is 48 inches. Built in sink is Moen. Both countertop and sink looks of quality make. The only issue, our contractor had to open the inside shelf and cut out a bit of the middle board to get the drain pipe to fit. Our contractor also cut little of the countertop to fit our existing opening of 47.5 inches. Overall very happy with the purchase and the price was great.

watchout for p-trap height
Nothing in the specifications shows the fact that a wall with standard 18 inch rough-in drain hole aligns with the shelf, causing two challenges: 1. P-trap cannot fit under the sink (which code requires a trap) 2. Must cut hole in back shelf. See photos of alignment and half moon in shelf. Note center of rough in is 18" off flooor. I temporarily stuffed a paper towel to slow waste water smell while I figure out how to fix this unexpected challenge.
Would have bought different product had I known. Perhaps someone can help with solution. Happen to see other folks having same problem.
Quality and functionality are great- expected an easy install. Disappointed this wasnt clearer on the spec sheet.

Attractive with some problems with the sink & top
This is an attractive vanity. The cabinet is well made. There are couple of issues with the unit I got: (1) The backsplash (which is not attached, by the way) was 1/4 inch shorter than the top of the vanity; and (2) the drain hole in the sink is out-of-round making it very difficult to get a good seal. I'm experienced, but it took three tries - I finally used an ungodly amount of plumbers putty and I'm less than confident that it will remain water tight.
The unit looks great in our newly renovated bathroom, but if I had it to do over, I'd buy a different vanity.

read reviews about countertop stains!!
Read the reviews about countertop stains, they are no joke. within 4 months the too has lost all of it's shine and has blotchy spots all over it. You can see how many comments Allen and Roth has posted on here saying " sorry for your experience please call us". just be aware, when you do, they pretty much say there is nothing they can do but send another too... which will stain in a few months too. Why not recall and fix the issue with a different top???? not everyone has time to pull a countertop every few months. Should have spent $300 less and got a glacier Bay.... at least there I get what I pay for. worst part is, I cut shiplap and surrounded my vanity... now I get to ruin $100s of dollars worth of that to get vanity out.

I totally loved the look of this vanity and begged my husband to buy it for our bathroom remodel. Literally, within the first two to three months, I noticed the veneer chipping and the countertop seemed constantly water stained. I have used multiple gentle cleaners on it, like Mrs Meyers, vinegar/water mixture, Method Bath & Tile. But to no avail. From a distance it looks fine, but standing over it, it looks terrible. Very disappointing, and I would research better before buying a product like this again I also wish I would’ve posted this much sooner, but after cleaning it again tonight, I was just fed up.
