Used on a wood project
I've been reading about people using bondo on wood repair projects instead of wood filler. I used this to fill cutouts where hinges were previously attached on an old wood screen door, so that I could reuse the door in another location. The bondo was easy to use. It is thinner than wood filler and it wants to run (or droop) so it requires multiple thin coats rather than one thick coat. It was easy to use, mold and sand. The finished repair took paint just like the wood door. Time will tell how well it holds up to the weather. My can did come with a small tube of hardener which was plenty for my project. You'll need to purchase another tube of hardener if you want to use the entire can of bondo.

Horsin' around with Bondo
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used it to repair a life-sized fiberglass horse for my 4-H Club. His leg was broken off just below the knee and the seems split apart. Used the patching compound first to piece the leg back together. His leg is stronger now than when he was new. Also used it to reinforce other seams that were splitting and repaired a cracked ribcage.
The working time is short so you need to plan effectively but the repairs are strong and it sands well. We used the horse as an educational tool at the 4-H fair. We will next do a lot more sanding and the kids will repaint him something nicer than just plain black. Time was short and the Bondo cures quickly.

Don't be concerned about the 'Stage' on the can.
I was concerned that I had the wrong 'stage' of Bondo only to do research and find out that it just means the 'stages' of preparing, filling and painting of the repair which has NOTHING to do with the kind of Bondo you should be using. Very confusing.

Perfect results
I used this product to fill in a gap in the wood/Formica counter where a large sink had been for years. The Bondo dried and sanded to a perfect finish within an hour. I also used it to fill in some chips in the Formica before painting, which saved the hassle and expense of replacing the entire countertop. So far it has proved to be waterproof, though it has only been a week.

Bondo Fiberglass/resin patch
This is a great product for many uses and made in USA. I used it to even the surface of several warped wooden floor joists in a gazebo. As with all 2 part mixes you should mix it thoroughly to prevent a problem with curing. It works great for steel, fiberglass, certain plastics, and wood surfaces. Inside areas should be well ventilated for several hours.

Used to patch a dog-knawed door frame
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This stuff ain't just for cars! A dog had been knawing at the door frame, so we used Bondo to cover the knawed area, repainted, and the frame looks almost as good as new!

Solid product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this on a metal window frame that had started to rust out. It filled in and sanded down perfectly and with a fresh coat of paint the window frame looked as good as new. Would definitely recommend using this for any sort of fill-in projects you have.
