Can these be attached together to form a longer stringer? Ie. we would need two 7 step ones joined together to make an outside staircase for a 2nd floor entrance. We would be adding a support roughly halfway down to support both stringers as well.

what is the rise and run of the one entire piece? Also what is the measure of the metal rise- is it 7"; also the measure of the metal run? |Also entire rise and run of the 6' and 5'?

I have an eight foot span. Used 4 risers. The assembly of the risers and steps with 2 X 6 and 2 X 8 pressure treated was a breeze. The steel gives the stairs an incredible sense of quality and stability.

Good value
The stringers arrived several days sooner than projected eta. They were undamaged and exactly as advertised. Installation, even for a first time user, was fairly easy. The finished product is stable and attractive and looks like it will be there a very long time.

The intention was good, terrible product
Terrible product. Did not last more than 4 years. Just removed them, they were completely rotten .
1 star for ease of installation. Redoing with pressure treated lumber.
