Used this to attempt to remove carpet glue residue from smooth concrete. I do not abuse my tools and I was very careful not to flex the blade. It broke within 1 minute just past the locking mechanism. maybe this would do better scraping gum off the underside of school desks. Lowe's refunded my money, which I appreciate, but cost me time, which cannot be replaced. I found that a 4 in. razor scraper and some elbow grease worked better for my application. Spend the extra money on better brand scraping blade such as the Milwaukee. It is much thicker visibly. With tools you usually get what you pay for.

Excellent for removing glued tile!
I gave quality 4/5 stars because I pressed on the bladetoo hard and it broke off in my saw. MY FAULT. So, take it easy, let it do the work for you. This is a must for removing glued tile. Saves much time and work.

excellent tool
Made tearing up two layers of vinyl flooring much easier. Don't put a lot of pressure on the tool and watch the angle. Let the tool work for you. Great value and so happy I bought it.

I use the Spyder Scraper to remove vinyl from my home for one day , it was doing very well an by the end of the day broke from the enter of the saw . I think they need to make it little more stronger, it will be a good tool to have.
Now I need to remove some tile Im going to give a try on another brand of scraper .

Awesome idea, poor quality. Used it for about half hour total time and it snapped right off above the attachment. I was scraping glue from wood substrate, so there was hardly any pressure involved. What kind of cheap metal are they using? Metal should bend, not crack.

Poorly designed product
This scraper attachment is a good idea but not a practical tool. I was attempting to scrape the glue and paper backing from vinyl flooring removed from concrete. This scraper worked OK when used to scrape the vinyl flooring up but did a poor job if you were working on the glue/backing only. I was aware of the shank area being the weak link from reading and watching reviews, but it lasted ten minutes before it broke right at the saw collet. In my opinion the shank Area is to brittle.

Saved my wrists
This product is amazing. I had to scrape glued carpet off of concrete. After a few minutes using a manual scraper I started feeling a blister forming already. I new there must be a better way. When I saw this product I thought it was worth trying. I'm so glad I tried it. When placed in a reciprocating saw this tool tore the carpet and glue right off the concrete. It was easier to use than I expected. It worked so well that I actually had fun using it.
