Description
Cette courroie d'entraînement John Deere est conçue pour s'adapter aux modèles de tondeuses à siège et de tracteurs à plateau de 42". Ces courroies de grande qualité durent plus longtemps que des courroies standards en raison d'une fréquence réduite du retournement de la courroie dans les poulies. La couverture de la courroie procure un engagement souple de l'embrayage et de la lame, et ses fibres en Kevlar sont assez robustes pour résister à la puissance élevée des moteurs. Ces courroies ont été mises à l'épreuve lors de tests exhaustifs afin de s'assurer de leur durabilité et de leur aspect sécuritaire.

Don't forget to adjust the tension
If your old belt was ever adjusted it may be at the maximum position. Look for a bracket on top of the deck holding the cable. It is easy to get to and mine is on the "driver's" side #left when sitting on the mower#. There are two 10mm size bolts in slotted holes that allows adjustment. Loosen the bolts and slide the bracket outward a little and it tightens the cable. Move it inward and it loosens the cable. Adjust it so the belt engages but isn't too tight. The engagement lever should be easy part of the way and then get a little harder towards the 1/2 off the total "throw". If the belt slips #you may hear it squeal# in high or wet grass adjust the bracket outward right away to prevent slippage and wear. A small adjustment is usually all that is needed.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR $$$
When my first belt broke i did some research and found on the newer mowers you can no longer adjust the tension on the deck belts. All the advice i read was to buy an after market belt. I didnt listen here i sit 2 months later. While mowing this evening my belt slipped off and i put it back on. Didnt see where the belt had been cut by the pulley and now my belt popped and i have no belt. Take my advice get a smaller belt. JOHN DEERE REALLY NEEDS TO GIVE US THE OPTION TO TENSION OUR OWN BELTS LIKE WE COULD BEFORE!!!
