Easy and quit
Just finishing my kitchen remodel. The hood was easy to install. It runs quite. It did take a while to get delivered. Not a problem for me because the cabinets and backsplash needed to be ordered and installed first. Just needed dimensions so that cabinet layout could be completed.

Supreme Disappointment
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This hood was an absolute nightmare to install. If you have less than 9ft ceilings forget about installing it properly. The vent (2-piece) cover is way to long for standard ceilings. But the installation will be the least of your problems, the suction is barely there even when you put on the highest setting. And the noise is borderline unbearable. I saw a review that was titles “quiet....” and it HAS to be about a different hood. When you turn this on the lowest setting you will think you’re standing at an airport tarmac with a jet engine running (instead of your kitchen). Fighting with Samsung to return their crap to them. They need to stick to TVs and smart phones. Dont buy it.

Great looking hood. Installs up to 9ft ceiling OOB
This hood is great to pair with a Samsung cooktop for the WiFi control. Also, this hood accommodates a 9.0 ceiling out of the box. If you have a higher ceiling- just buy the extension accessory. As long as you follow the venting recommendations- this hood is as quiet as most others I've heard. Reading the installation helps alot.

Auto feature only triggers at Low power. Useless.
automatic feature only triggers at low power, which is too weak that makes it completely useless. this setting cannot be changed. also the auto feature stop the vent immediately after the range fire is off, this totally did not make sense because the cook smell won't stop immediate at the second you turn off the fire. the vent should be kept on for 20 seconds after fire is off. again, no setting can be adjusted. so much technology so poor execution without any provision for user customization. i wish i can get a refund for this expensive stove and range hood set.

Lights Stopped Working
Just after my warranty expired the LED lights stopped working. You can press the button, it makes the obnoxious click sounds it's supposed to make, but no lights turn on. The problem was intermittent at first, but now I can press the button 20+ times on and off with no lights.

Small extension
well, like everyone i was attracted to samung products as they look slick and clean in design. i purchased samsung tv, fridge and hood and i absolutely love the tv and fridge but hood has an issue. the extension that came with my purchase is too small for a 10 feet ceiling and it costs you lot of money to buy an extension. i don't think it is worth the money to buy the hood and then spend few more hundreds on the extension
