Best Grab Bar: Stylish plus Rubber Non-slip grip
I brought home about 6-8 different styles of grab bars from various sources before selecting THIS one. This one by Moen is stylish: it doesn't look like commercial grab rails. And, its the ONLY one with rubber non slip pads on the back of the bar. It works great with wet hands. My 92 year old mother LOVES it. It's available in 16" and 24" in satin nickel, chrome and bronze. The satin nickel finish looks perfect with our rehabbed antique 1928 bathroom fixtures
We were unable to use the recommended expanding screw holders in our 1928 subway tiled wall. Instead, we used stainless steel screws drilled into a wall stud. So far so good (handyman installed it in 2009).

This grab rail is very stylish and doesn't appear to be for handicap aid. the grips in the back fit nice in your hand adn the bar is not too large to get a small hand around.

So Nice it Can double as a nice towel rack
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very nice grab bar. Well shaped and most folks who view it would say it is pretty (for a grab bar). Very well designed and very secure - I like the new "secure mount" design with ensures a great grip whether into a stud or the mounting anchors. My friends say it makes a nice towel bar as well as a grab bar and in fact they don't realize it's a grab bar until I tell them (it is installed horizontally on the outside of the shower).

Makes a double-duty towel rack
I love the non-institutional look of this grab bar. In this size it looks like a towel rack, and it hold a towel just fine! We replaced a towel rack with this. Now it still holds a towel, but it happens to be in the perfect place to help someone on-off the potty, or to steady their exit from the shower.

BEAUTIFUL AND IMPRESSIVE!
This bar is very impressive in that it is very nice looking and has grips on inside edge. I would reccomend this product.

Great Safety Item
I chose the ones with the rubber grips. I also installed a new safety tile floor in the shower. With the floor and both bars, I have never felt more safe in the shower. The bars with the rubber give you that extra secure grip.
