Cet ensemble Hoft contient 2 poteaux de fin en aluminium de 3" x 72". Il comprend l'ensemble de la quincaillerie de montage nécessaire afin d'obtenir une clôture à planches de bois esthétique et bien fixée.

Hello, is it possible to use this product instead of a railing on a second story deck?
Hi Andie789 and thanks for reaching out. Yes, you can install our HOFT posts on a 2nd story, and we strongly suggest that you reinforce your terrace where you want to fix our posts by screwing boards to your joists (existing structure). Then you can anchor two screws in your joist and the two other screws in the new support board. To install n grass, I’m assuming you’d need to drill concrete posts to install on? Correct?
Hi Tania A and thanks for reaching out. If you are installing in-ground and want a 6-foot high above ground fence, then we recommend you purchase our HOFT 96'' Post kits (for in-ground installation in concrete). Otherwise the other option would be for ground installation (on grass/earth) you would have to dig a hole in the ground of approximately 3’ deep x 8” diameter cylinder hole and pour cement in the hole. Smoothen the surface and then wait for it to dry at least 48 hours. Install the post on the concrete base using our Anchor Plate and fasten with concrete anchor bolts (3/8” x 3 ½”). Est-ce que je peux insérer entre les 2 poteaux un panneau décoratif 2x4 pieds de 0,3 d’épaisseur?
Bonjour Moon! Nous ne sommes pas spécialisés dans les panneaux décoratifs, mais nous savons que ces panneaux sont minces et s'intègrent bien dans notre rainure de poteau. La profondeur de chaque fente est de 0,7 pouces. Notre rail de poteau est de 1,125 '. La seule chose serait que vous deviez trouver un moyen de les sécuriser dans les poteaux. Merci et bonne journée!

quel est l'épaisseur des planche a utilisé
Bonjour Stephane047, Si vous utilisez des planches de bois, elles doivent être de 5/4, soit des planches finies de 1 pouce. Pour les panneaux composites, ils doivent être des panneaux de 1 pouce. Merci et bonne journée!

Pouvons-nous couper les poteaux de 72’? J’aimerais avoir une clôture de 48’ mais cette grandeur n’existe pas avec votre système. Merci!
Bonjour Kimmykim, Vous pouvez utiliser une scie circulaire ou une scie à onglet avec une lame au carbure. Le capuchon s'adaptera parfaitement sur le dessus même si les poteaux sont coupés.
Coupez toujours par le haut car vous aurez besoin du filetage en bas pour la plaque d'ancrage

Love this system
Our property was totally burnt during a wildfire. We have gradually been able to repopulate with trees. We back onto a highway though and the busy-ness of this highway is killing us. We had no privacy in our gazebo. This system has been a godsend!

Great product
Bought this for a privacy fence on our Deck. This product was very easy to install and looks great. Used RSS structural screws to install and so far has held up very well in heavy wind.

Good but not great
Installed this a few weeks ago as a decorative privacy fence on our paver patio. I actually put in 7.5 feet cedar boards between the end-posts, even if Hoft dictates 72". I contacted customer service to ask the reason behind the 72" limit but never got a reply.
I bolted the posts in the pavers using concrete tapcon screws. Like other reviewers said, the product is relatively easy to install and the quality seems good.
Here are a few things that could be improved, and frankly suprising that the company hasn't implemented this:
- there are no covers over the base posts to hide the screws. I know it's an aesthetic thing, but that's kind of Hoft's thing, right?
- there is no option to change the space between the boards. You have to live with the spacers they provide.
- you only get 24 spacers, so if you were thinking of making a fancy design (i.e. alternating board widths), you'll run out of spacers. Sort of disappointing.
So, like I said: the product is good, but you would think a decorative product at this price would be more polished. There is room for improvement!

Poor colour coating quality
we bought 5 pack of this product a year ago but after less than a year of installation all poles cap's colour were removed because of the poor quality as it shows in the photo. Aluminium but with poor quality of colour coating.

Fantastic product
Well engineered, well designed. As long as you measure correctly, they are super easy to setup and install. I had to call Hoft support because some of the clips were warped and they replaced within days. Very sturdy, withstood a good wind storm already.

Simple assembly, elegant look.
Very clean look. I mounted mine on 8” x 4’ concrete form tubes. That was the hard part. I used 3/8” x 4” galvanized bolts with washers & nuts. 2 nuts per bolt. Attach the 4 bolts to the mounting plate. Set the bolt heads into wet concrete. Once dried, remove top nuts, and take off mounting plate, attach plate to post and return to concrete base. Plumb the post by adjusting the bottom nuts then secure it with the top nuts. This method keeps the base plate from contacting the concrete and makes for a very solid structure. I pre-finished the 5/4” deck boards then stacked them in the posts in a matter of minutes. I’ll eventually paint the hardware black to match the posts.
