Works, but difficult to install
This unit has wire insert holes on the back if you want to just press your wires in to those. However, for those that want to use the screw style connectors they are very difficult to work with. When you unscrew the screw it just gets loose instead of being pushed backward like in most switches. This means it's just kind of jiggling around and it's very difficult to get your wire wrapped around it.
I also noticed that the lowest dim setting for my particular LED bulbs was not very low, maybe only about 50% of what full brightness is. I'm not an electrician so I'm not sure if this is due to the switch or to the bulb, and as such I can't really ding my rating based on this.

Good design but not for LED's
I really like the design and the operation of the product, however, even with the trim pot it still is not useful for LED's. I had a load of 63 watts total (7x9 watts) and it still would flicker on the dimmed down position, even with the trim pot adjusted. The instructions, similar to most dimmers, say to have at least 10 watts load for proper dimming ability. Obviously I had that and more but still no luck with anything more than a very limited dimming range before the lights would flicker.

Worked like a champ
Installed for dinette light fixture. Fixture uses (5) 40W equivalent G25 Globes and (3) 40W equivalent A19 Bulbs (traditional style bulb). All bulbs were Philips dimmable with 'warm glow'. Set the trim pot to the max level and lights dim to nearly the same level as the incandescent lights in the kitchen (as soon as Philips makes the dimmable warm glow bulbs for the kitchen track light, those are next to be replaced).
Bought this particular switch because it's only got one switch, versus most others that are an on/off switch with and additional dimmer slide.

Do not buy this brand it doesn't work.
First time I've left a bad review but this wouldn't work. This is the only brand dimmers that Lowes carries. Brought it home installed it and this is kindergarten stuff. It would dim but light wouldn't go off. It dims almost to bottom then when you push farther it should go off. Not happening. So uninstall go back to store and was going to get different brand but this is only brand they carrier. Got my money back no problem why should lowes care they aren't out any time or money. So went across the street to Home Depot and got a real dimmer. Works like a charm and no problem.

Works well with LED lamps.
The only thing I would like to see is more dimming of the lights, but this an issue with all dimmers that are used with CFL and LED lights. I have 14 GU-10 40 watt lights in my home theater and replaced the halogen lamps with the LED so that I could use a dimmer (too many watts for a conventional home dimmer) , and save money and heat in the room. This unit works flawlessly and it does dim enough for viewing movies with the lights still on, as with the halogen bulbs we had to turn the lights completely off.

It works well but does not go to zero brightness.
The brightness fades only to about half when slider is all the way low with LED bulbs.

Not great for LEDs
I really liked the design of the control, it has a nice wide dimming lever that you push all the way down to turn off. Much easier to operate than some of the Lutrons with tiny dimming controls, and doesn't need a separate on/off rocker taking up space. But it just doesn't work well. I've got 5 LEDs on a dining room light fixture, and with this switch on there it's extremely sensitive to the normal voltage fluctuations in my house, and often starts flickering when they're on low. There's also a buzzing noise. I'm going to change it out.

Item is not 3 way
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This item is not a 3 way switch. The part number shipped is the one shown on the write up but it is a single pole switch not 3 way. If you want a 3 way, don't buy this. Lowes customer service has been informed so the writeup may change.
