I am really glad it is so quiet
I purchased the iPro2500 to send it to my in laws after they were impacted by hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico. One of the main concerns was for it to be quiet, and not call the attention of any would be thieves, as they are an elderly couple, and would be in no position to defend themselves or their property. My brother in law set it up for them and he describes it as the sound of a window shaker type A/C. I am really glad it delivers on that regard. They have it running their fridge, a very important fan, some lamps and their TV. I calculated that the generator can handle more, but that is all they need, specially when fuel is not easy to get often.

iPro2500
Easy set up, instructions were clear. All parts arrived. Still not sure what the wrench is for so we will look further into it. Haven't added gas and oil to check if the unit is working properly yet which is the reason for only 4 stars. The Inverter iPro2500 will be used for emergencies only. We live in Florida and after Irma passed through last year, we lost power days after the storm passed as power was being restored to others. We have experienced many Hurricanes over the years but being without power for a few days wisened us up to get a generator. We also purchased a portable a/c. So we will be ready if ever we need it!

Reviewed many generators, settled for this one.
I reviewed many types and brands of generators for over a month on line, not having much experience with generators in the past. I read the manufacturers brochures and customer ratings and complaints. I finally settled on the iPro 4200 over the IGEN 4200 because it had 6 GFCI outlets and a larger gasoline tank. The iPro4200 generator was constructed for a installing a wheel kit. I ran the generator for one hour pulling about 2000 watts. The voltage and frequency meter was right on the mark. With proper care and maintenance, I believe this product, with frequent oil changes, will last for many years of trouble free service.

Very pleased, quiet, starts right up, sips gas
Started first pull right out of the box. Runs the 13.5k BTU Airxcell Mach 3+ A/C on my Outdoors RV Black Rock 24KTS without a hitch, plus the stereo system, TV and lights. Slight, occasional stumble with eco mode on, suspect its a little lean or just needs breaking in. Why anyone would pay 400+ dollars or more for the red machine with 600 less watts is beyond me. Output is way better, its quiet, just about the same weight and has GFI's for safety. I was previously resigned to buying and hoisting an 80-100 lb., 3KW unit into the back of my pick-up to be able to run my RV A/C and now I don't have to. Wish it had a separate gas shut off but you can drain the carb fuel bowl with minimal fuss. Good to go with this unit!

Everything I wanted in a backup generator
After losing power for the 2nd time this year, I decided to research generators online. After reading up on practically every other consumer model on the market I settled on the Westinghouse iPro4200 Inverter. I was looking for an inverter that can be used in a pinch and could generate enough power to back up my essentials: fridges and computers...as well as run a few extra comforts (lights, TV). To me, the open frame "hybrid" design was the best of both worlds. I was able to get a powerful inverter, as well as the utility of a commercial unit. This was a solid buy and is positioned well a competitive marketplace.

Needed economical back up power
Broke it in by running it 1 hour and another hour the following day. Drained it completely and added half gallon treated regular unleaded gasoline. It ran at a demand of 2000 watts for 1 hour and 42 minutes. Given the 4 gallon tank I should get 13.6 hours at a little over half load. Maybe get even better with more break in time. Very happy to have purchased this unit. At peak it should power the essentials in my house with no problem.

does what it needs to do
price is right works fine runs good only have had it for a short while fires up on first pull fairly quite energy saving mode is nice brings the idle down to conserve fuel while you are not demanding power from it... as to always running at 3600 rpm like the job site style generator...inverter is a must for home use to keep from damaging your electronis with circut boards.. why because they are built to run at 60hz kinda like a radio signal when you are between stations you hear a harsh static your electronics do not like it. as to power tools just a switch and a motor not as bad..use for minor back up when power goes out T.V satlite couple of lights and fridge so I like it thanks westinghouse

Awesome Generator, Highest watt rating in It's class, 5 star
Awesome Generator, Highest watt rating in It's class, I give it 5 star for quiet, economy- it sips gas. Keeps our 10k Btu Portable ac going all night on a gallon of gas. Perfect for our Boat, powers everything on our boat as well, Fridge, microwave, electric stove, Also charges the battery's in an emergency, and it has G.F.C.I outlets for safety "especially important on a boat" Overall a great little generator with more power than other generators in its class, you cant go wrong with this generator study the specs for yourself and you will see this one beats them all..
