Owner's manual says reference should be WF3CB for my fridge.. Will WF2CB replace it ? I see my people having trouble with this issue. Thanks
Hello, Charles123456! The WF2CB water filter will not replace the WF3CB. Be sure to use the compatible water filter for your appliance. ~Briana

Is this the same as WF2CB as this is the ones I have used prior. This add is notated as part number WF2CBC
I in fact ordered this WF2CBC and IT IS WF2CB as it stated it on the side of the box. Fits and works great.

Worked for me
I purchased this refrigerator in 2002 & everything worked great untill the ice maker quit I checked water supply & that was ok then got out the instruction that came with it & it said to change water filter at least once a year & it had not been changed for 10 years so I ordered a new one online at Lowes & my wife went in and picked up brought it home and guess what the ice maker is now making ice, guess the morel of the story is that by waitng 10 yrs to change I saved 10 X $39.00 = $390.00 so now every one is happy. Guess we ought not to think that way but I'm very satisfied with Lowes

Easy to install, but...
The filter was easy to install in the Frigidaire it was designed for. It snapped in place and stayed in without popping out as some reviewers have mentioned. Directions say to flush for 3 minutes. When I started flushing, the effluent was almost black. After 3 minutes, it had lightened to a grayish tint. It took over 7 minutes for the stream to become reasonably clear. Not sure if this is typical or just a sample defect, In any event, it was not confidence-inspiring. One new feature I dislike is the opaque white filter cartridge housing. The last one I bought had a transparent housing so you could visually inspect the filtration media.

New design does not fit well
I have used this filter for 11 years with great results. Couple weeks ago I changed the filter that has been redesigned and in a red and white box (instead of a blue and white). It does not fit well. It makes a loud noise when water is dispensed and water comes in a very small stream. I contacted Frigidaire customer service and explained the problem I am having and they informed me that the filter has been redesigned and if I am having problem then I should have it serviced. I am not sure where I can buy the old designed that worked fine for 11 years.

New Filter does not fit
The Frigidaire/Electrolux Puresource 2 replacement filters are widely known by consumers and even local Lowes store employees to have design / manufacturing problems. The previous clear cartridge design often leaked. The "newer" solid white design will not lock into place when pushed into the cartridge chamber. A google search shows many customer complaints on this subject. Oddly, the first "newer design" filter I bought at Lowes in 2012 worked great. But the manufacturer has since changed the design slightly. The most recent filters sold at Lowes (and apparently online) have a slightly different shape of the latching section than my first "newer" version filter. I suspect that this is the cause.
I have emailed Frigidaire but have not received a reply for help. Perhaps as a major buyer, Lowe's could avoid a lot of customer returns and tell Frigidaire/Electrolux to changer their product design to one that works?

Change in filter model makes it difficult to use
I would only recommend this product if you have a newer model Frigidaire refrigerator. Unfortunately, my refrigerator is not brand new and the manufacturer has modified the water filter from the original we used to use. As a result it is almost impossible to insert this filter - it pops out every time you try to use the water and then water spills all over the inside of the fridge. Probably won't be replacing the filter again as it almost didn't go in this time. Prior to the change the filter worked fine.

Poor quality compared from previous
Pure Source changed the design and we've had to return one already and are experiencing problems again. We've had the refrigerator for 8 years and never had a problem with the previous model of pure source filter. Have to pull it out and reset if often. I will be calling the company.

New Design not good
This new design does not work, very little water pressure, does not insert easily. The older clear body design was great. I feel I'm forced to buy something that doesn't work correctly!!

Water Filter
Called Frigidaire and there was a design change. The one I bought and the replacement would not stay in place. They popped out when using the water.
