Good for emergencies
After Hurricane Sandy I searched everywhere for these batteries but none of the stores carried them (or were sold out) and the only way I could buy the battery was if I bought a flashlight it was attached to. Finally looking online I found what i needed and ordered 5 batteries. They arrived in a few days and when I opened the package I saw that one of the batteries was delivered broken (the uncovered spring had snapped off). It was about 2 weeks before I passed near my local Lowes store but when i brought it in and explained, they accepted it and refunded my account without any problems.
So quality of product and quality of service is why I always look at Lowes before I look elsewhere.

On the lowes web site, the description of this battery indicates it's a "Energizer", but the photo shows it to be a "Eveready". I figured the photo was wrong as compared to a written description and ordered anyway. It turned out the description is wrong and the picture is right because I received the Eveready. This probably needs to be changed.

Title Is VERY MISLEADING
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Come on, you should not list this item as being an Energizer Eveready ALKALINE 6 volt battery. It is not ALKALINE or ENERGIZER. I ordered online for my husband and pick up at the store. When I got home he pointed out to me that I bought the incorrect battery. Then I go and check my receipt...it says Energizer Alkaline. There was a previous question posed on this issue 5 years ago. You have had 5 years to get this listing corrected.

Misleading - This is NOT an Alkaline Battery
This battery is being advertised as an Alkaline battery, but it is actually a Carbon Zinc battery. The photo here is not accurate. The actual battery says "carbon zinc battery" right under the words "super heavy duty." Alkaline batteries deliver more energy and are better for long-term use devices than carbon zinc batteries. The device I purchased the battery for specifically said to use an alkaline battery.

Energizer Lantern Specialty Battery
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In 10/2018,I bought the Flashlight Lantern and it came with the Eveready Battery. I used the Light twice for less than 10 minutes each time. I checked my Lantern Flashlight and the Battery all but dead. These are JUNK, don't waste your money. They will let you down in an Emergency!
