Genesis II LX Rotisserie
I just purchased a new Genesis II LX and also purchased a rotisserie. The bracket for the rotisserie is a very poor design. The motor actually rests on the side tray when the spit is not inserted into the motor. The spit holds the motor up. This is a disappointing design flaw should have been avoided. The motor bracket must be redesigned to fit the current grill design. Also, the height of the side trays should probably be lowered to increase the space between the motor and tray for cleaning purposes. My previous Weber gas grills did not have these issues. I have had a couple other Weber grills and I was very happy with the design. This issue must be corrected. Thanks

Serious Design Flaw Ruins What Could be Great
The rotisserie itself is OK but if you use this with the newly designed Weber Genesis II 310 series grills there is a design flaw that makes this product almost unusable. The problem is that the slots in the bed of the grill that the bar for the rotisserie has to turn on have been lowered and now only the smallest chickens can actually turn and not hit the flavorizer bars or an aluminum drip pan (if you use one). This is a very poor design choice and should have been figured out prior to release.
Additionally, they use a two piece bar for you to put your chikens on. This makes the whole setup a lot weaker.
I would love to see Weber return to their previous deisgns (I have owned their gas grills for the past 30+ years) and this is by far the worst.

Worst designed rotisserie ever
I bought this for my new WEBER grille and could not believe that they made such a horrible product. To use, 5he left side table has to be lowered making it useless. It has to be lowered before you mount the motor bracket as you can’t lift the table out with it mounted. The handle of the spit is METAL not wood. I think that will be quite hot after several hours of cooking. Also, the spit sticks in the motor and does not come out without jerking it out. Might be a problem with several pounds of meat on it.

Awesome addition to the grill
I've used my rotisserie three times and love it. I've cooked two chickens, a pork loin, and picanha steak. As someone who's been grilling for decades I really wish I'd gotten one sooner. It takes any guesswork out. You just heat the grill to temperature, put your food on, start the rotisserie and pull it off when meat's at temperature.
It's super easy to set up. I've had no issues with the food I'm cooking being too large for the space and hitting up against a drip pan or anything. Next up is prime rib.
I'd say to buy this with confidence--just make sure it's the right one for your model of grill!

Terrible Design
The side table must be lowered to accommodate the motor mounting. The rotisserie sits too low for even medium sized meats and suggestions to remove flavorizer bars, etc are unreasonable. Owned an older generation Weber and rotisserie that was excellent. As an engineer, I judge this design a failure and find it hard to believe this product made it through the evaluation phase.

Bar sits too low to use
I have been a Weber user for 30+ years and had an older model grill and rotisserie. When I purchased a new/larger grill, I also thought I was "upgrading" the rotisserie. However, as with other reviewers, I have found the accessory is almost unusable for decent sized whole chickens. Otherwise, I have found that "normal" sizes end up hitting my drip pan, which ends up defeating the purpose. I don't know if this is an issue with the rotisserie or the grill. If Weber has any retrofit ideas, I would welcome.

Rotisserie has glaring design flaw!!
The rotisserie bracket blocks the tray table from being lifted up and placed in position. IF you want to take advantage of the tray table you have to remove the bracket each time you use the rotisserie.

I want my money back
I bought a rotisserie basket and it will not work with this grill. There isn’t enough depth. Like other reviewers noted, you need to buy baby chickens to work. The only way is to remove the grates and flavorizing bars to work. That is not practical.
