Darn Good Little Flame!
When I first got this, I was skeptical on if it could work with jewelry because the instructions included how to use it on creme brûlée (something I don't make). So I decided to take it down to my shop to try it out. I tried to make a headpin with a piece of sterling 18 gauge wire and it balled up perfectly. So I wondered if it would work on something more difficult. I took a piece of my scrap .925 silver and used medium solder on it (which flows at about 1300 degrees) and it worked! I'm super happy with its performance with using it on jewelry making. It will be my go-to when I want something quick and don't want to crank up my acetylene torch.

Awesome all around!
I bought four torches in a week trying to find the best one for silversmithing that was portable and extremely easy to use and this one is by far the best one I have ever used. Great quality! Not one complaint!! :))) 100% recommended!!!

Great product but...
I've had my touch for about 6 months and a couple weeks ago I went to use the sodering tip I Screwed both pieces together and went and sodered, after I got done I let it cool as I was cleaning up my work bench, I came back to it and used the wrench included in the set to disassemble the two pieces and as I tryed to losen it the whole front of the touch got lose and broke the wire that ignites it, so there for I have to use a lighter to light it, it is a real pain but still a good overall touch. I wish dremel would have deigned that part better. That is why I give it two stars instead of five, I've heard the dermels customers service is good so we will see.

Great little torch for small jewelry making
I've had 2 of these torches since last year. I bought them to use in small jewelry making projects I've been able to use Cooper wire solder, Easy to Hard Silver Solder in wore, sheet, & paste forms, small enameling projects, annealing wire and small pieces of brass, booze, copper and silver.
I would not recommend for precious metal clay pieces because of the tank size unless you have 2 torches.
Con: the only thing I don't like is how the torch head is shaped ; the flame cones out at an upward angle which makes you have to adjust the metal vs the torch, great buy ,, good warranty!

Great tool
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fantastic tool when you need to heat something up quickly.
I've only had it a week or so, and so far I've used it:
Distressing a desk made of cheap wood to give it some character
Thawing a frozen water pipe
Trying to brown the meringue on a pie, which I may have ignited in the attempt. This torch gets HOT.
My only observation is that you need to fill it straight out of the box. It's noted on the outside of the box, but in my excitement to open my new toy, I missed that part. A sticker or note inside saying "Fill Me" would fix that.

Nice little Torch
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just got the VersaFlame and promptly filled it up with butane. It fired right up as I expected. Nice tight coned flame! I also like the small size instead of a big bulky bottle. I soldered some wires together for electrical in my car and I also heated up a rusty old bolt to help break it free. Overall impressed with this little torch so far. Only time will tell, but with Dremel Quality I expect many years of trouble free operation. It came in a nice tin to keep everything nice and neat in my toolbox and comes with some nice attachments even comes with solder and a cleaning sponge. I look forward to many projects using my little Dremel torch tool.

An Amazing Tool!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I fell in love with my VersaFlame on the very first day! I had been wanting a small torch like this for a while to use in the kitchen. Within minutes of opening the package, I was using it to char a couple jalapenos to put in with my chili. Creme Brulee is on the menu for this weekend and I can't wait.
My daughter used the VersaFlame to solder a couple of items on an electronics project she is working on - worked like a charm! This is definitely a tool that will find its way into many of the projects around our house.

Awesome
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this for Jewlery making but it’s extremely versatile and can be used both as a butane torch and even a soldering iron with the included attachments.
