Description de modèle
Escape Échelle, no 2 Storey-no 14 pied, complet assemblé, fort acier construction, slip resistant rungs and rung stablilizers, tested to ASTM Standard

will it fir on a window with a brick sill measuring 14 inches wide?

Posée par: Bibby66
As long as there is a hard edge to grab, like a window channel or rail within 10” of the building exterior, the nylon straps make the width of the opening variable. Hope that helps…

Is this ladder for one time use only?

Posée par: Missy2002
From my research, I bought this ladder as it allows more than one time use.

I am looking for an escape ladder from my balcony as it does not have stairs and extends the whole backside of my house. Would the holding mechanisms of this product work off a deck railing or deck boards?

Posée par: Gar67

What does it weigh?

Posée par: not_strong

Can you reuse this ladder? Say if we use it to practice or show the kids how to set it up?

Échelle de secours 2 étages First Alert, 14 pi, acier et nylon, support de 375 lb est évalué 4.6 de 5 de 42.
Rated 5 de 5 de par Packed well and seems well constructed What I liked about this product was that it appeared to be made well and, also, that it was packed nicely into a flip-top box with a handle so it would be easy to store and easy to access, if needed. The only negative I could see was that it was a bit heavy. Not extremely so, but I found a different brand one at Home Depot and bought that instead, even though it cost about $5 more, because it was a bit lighter in weight. Both were of a weight that was fine for adults, just wasn't sure if a young person or older person could handle the extra weight of this item.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Great product I am impressed with the design of this product. It is very sturdy and packaged extremely well. What I mean by the packaging is that you can use the ladder for practice and then put it away again in the holder exactly the way it came, compact and ready to use again in a hurry. This product does exactly what it is supposed to do and the price is right.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Excellent design, quality, value and peace of mind First Alert was really thinking when they designed this excellent product. The box that it comes in is compact for easy storage and the ladder is incredibly well packaged for quick access and use. The steps are wide and have little feet, so that when you climb down the ladder your toes have space between the ladder and the wall, and is secure for an emergency situation. In addition, the price is great for such a high quality product. I also have other emergency ladders that are bulky and awkward and more costly for other properties I own, so I have a frame of reference for comparison. I bought this for my daughter for my peace of mind as she is living on the second floor of an old house off campus at college. In case of a fire, I want her to be able to get out quickly and safely if access out of her room is blocked. First Alert hit a home run with this emergency ladder!

Rated 5 de 5 de par Hope to never have to use. We bought this because we moved in to a two story house and wanted to be sure we had means of egress should the main stair well become blocked. I have been researching many of these - and it came down between this one and the KIDDE brand ladder. Ultimately this one won because it is reusable, whereas the KIDDE one is not. Again - hope to never have to use it - but it seems very well built and strong to enough that I would feel comfortable.

Rated 5 de 5 de par great safety ladder for entire family Bought this as a house warming gift for my Son. With a two children in upstairs bedrooms, their safety is so important. Had the children practice putting escape ladder on window ledge. The eight year old had no problem putting this 12 pound ladder on the window ledge and dropping the rungs down the side. This fire escape ladder is so light-weight but able to safely hold 1,100 pounds. It gives great peace of mind for everyone.

Rated 3 de 5 de par Good idea, but didn't work at my house. I was disappointed when I got home and found that window threshold was too wide to accommodate the ladder where it attaches. I will have to return it for something wider. Be sure to take a measurement, if your home is brick, this will not likely work.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Fire Escape Ladder [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this Escape Ladder for our daughter's family since their bedrooms are on the second floor of their colonial house. With a newborn on the way, we thought they should have a safe means of escape. First Alert is a well known company and the escape ladder is made of quality material. Is is easy to hand from the window sill and lower to near ground level. We have had one in our second story bedroom. It allows us piece of mind knowing we have a means of escape in the event of a fire in the house. Everyone should have one and the price was right for the ladder.

Rated 5 de 5 de par First Alert Story 1125-lb Steel Fire Escape Ladder I have a one story house and I didn't buy it for fire safety. I had to get down into my fireplace cavity from my attic in order to secure a TV bracket for my 65" flat screen over the fireplace mantle. Didn't trust putting molly bolts in the wall as there were no traditional studs in that area. I only had to go down 5 feet, but using this ladder made the job much easier. Only problem was getting it folded back into its original shape. Like folding a road map after using it.
