Description
Ce disque à tronçonner Dremel EZ Lock dure deux fois plus longtemps que les disques à tronçonner ordinaires en fibre de verre renforcée. Ce disque à tronçonner pour outil rotatif est clairement identifié. Il est compatible avec tous les outils rotatifs de Dremel. Sa conception EZ Lock permet de changer d'accessoire six fois plus rapidement qu'un mandrin standard.

Poor quality with high failure rate
I dont usually write reviews, but in this case I feel compelled to comment. These cutting disks are absolutely terrible. They fail at an astronomical rate. The failure mode is separation of metal insert from fiberglass disk (see photo included). I’ve had two failures when installing new disk onto Dremel before being actually used. The metal insert separated from fiberglass disk in my hand. I recently had 5 disks fail out of 10 new items. When failure rates are this high, the manufacture has to know. Is this a bad production run or a systemic quality issue? Maybe engineering design issue? In any event dont buy a Dremel tool for the EZ lock cutting disk. You will be disappointed.

Less Isn't More
I have both a corded and cordless Dremel that I use constantly and love them both. My only complaint came recently. I use the EZ Lock cut off wheels for everything, so I picked up 5 of the 12 pack bulk containers. Yesterday I went to get a fresh pack from my shop and it was rattling. After digging into the container I discovered the spring had not been installed. That was no big issue but then I counted the discs, there was only 11. This had me curious so I counted the remaining 4 packs. Low and behold 2 of the 5 of the packs held only 11 discs. I just wonder if this is a standard practice and how many packs over the years were 1 or 2 short.

EZ Lock Metal Wheels
Love the easy lock. Used this to cut and fabricate industrial Stainless steel! The wheels did not bend, bind or break. Wore out fairly quickly but they cut very cleanly. A pretty tough job for these little guys but they got in where a large grinder wouldn't even think of fitting.The EZ was lock a plus when changing the blades as I didn't have to get out my little wrench.

Great, IF they work.
I purchased my dremel a few years back. I love the variable speed dial. I use it mainly to cut small projects of metal with the ez lock discs, but in the 6 or so 12 packs I have purchased, probably 1/4 to 1/3 break the center collar, many instantly. I have probably paid for 2+ multipacks just to throw away because they break. I recently bought a new pack, which I was forced to open up, because my previous pack broke 4 of the remaining few discs almost instantly, and.noticed the center collar is different. Great, but I still have spent a good chunk of change on the ones I had n to throw away. Dont get me wrong, I love my Dremel, but it sucks that I tossed so many.

Works great! When it works...
As part of my job, I frequently have to cut metal door frames. I’ve always used a Dremel to do so, frequently with the EZ-Lock cutoff wheels. I don’t know what happened, but it certainly seems like the manufacturing quality has taken a HUGE step backwards. These wheels do a fantastic job of cutting the metal, but, lately, I have had to deal with the center ring popping off of the wheels. Never used to happen. Now, it’s about a 50/50 shot (at best) of actually using all of the wheel before the collar falls off. Happened to 8 of the wheels in the 12-pack that I bought, expecting that it would get me through this job. I now have to stop, mid-project, and run out to get more cutoff wheels. Going with the standard style this time. I’m sick of wasting my money.

Must have in your Dremel Toolkit
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This little EZ-Lock Metal Cutter blade has many uses around the home and the garage. I've cut many rusted nuts that could not be removed by loosening methods. This disc makes a quick job of cutting off the nut without ruining the bolts. Used it to reduce long bolt lengths to a required size. Also used it to remove copper plumbing in spaces where a saw is not feasible. Great for cutting single handle kitchen faucet assemblies that have rusted internally and refuse to come off. Cuts anything quickly. I've tried less expensive China import models but they don't cut as well and tend to snap. Stay with a brand you can trust.

CUTS THROUGH HARDENED STEEL LIKE BUTTER
I recently bought a live center for the tail piece on my minilathe The shaft on it was 6 in.long and stuck out about 3 in.too far from the tail piece. I needed that 3 in. because I only had about 10 in. between centers on my lathe. My wife had recently bought the EZ Lock system with the EZ 456 wheels for Christmas. I chucked the shaft up and slowly fed the cutter through the shaft being careful not to build up too much heat. It did a perfect cut leaving me with the added space I needed. You can't force feed the cutter or twist it off center while cutting. This will leave you with a stack of broken cutters. A slow and easy common sense approach works best. If the cutters get wet they will break off too.

Great Metal Cutter, poor locking system
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wheels cut like a dream, however at about the 50% point of wear, the ezlock spindle on the wheel separates from the cutting material and you have to put on a new wheel, for the extra cost you get less cutting time than you had with the old wheels, but can change wheels faster (using more wheels).
