Description

Garantie un an.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Good for difficult jobs I got the PaintEATER because I wanted to refinish some old pine floors that had been covered with linoleum tile. The tile had been glued to the pine floors, and after removing the tile, attempting to sand the floors led to the sanding belts quickly gumming up with old glue. The design of the PaintEATER is superior to that of an angle grinder when working on a floor. With the PaintEATER, it took a few tries to learn how to use the tool effectively. Applying direct vertical pressure just moved the glue around in circles. I found that by tilting the tool very slightly to the left, not applying excessive force, and moving it across the surface from right to left, the old glue would come off in a fine powder. If you are patient, you will find the right tilt and movement, and you will find it doesn't require much pressure to do the job. If you ask someone else to use the tool, they will either find that sweet-spot or they will go through a lot of disks and overheat the tool. The cost of the replacement disks is the major drawback of the tool. Anyone buying this tool needs to know that you will need to buy many replacement disks. The good news is that there is a similar style disk for angle grinders that are made to work with both a key lock and threaded lock. These disks work well on the PaintEATER and are much, much cheaper.

I haven’t been able to find anything to get the job done as well. The pads do wear down rather quickly if you have more than 1 layer of paint to get through and a size able job. Also the motor has burned up on 2 of them but I bought another one to continue the job until it’s done so it works good enough not to be dissuaded by those negatives about the product.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Great tool Great tool with multiple purposes. The only negative comment is the very short power cord. While connected to an extension cord it very bulky and in the way.

Rated 5 de 5 de par This is a beast on pealing painit I bought this after reading a bunch of reviews and watching a bunch of videos. I used it on the outside of a restaurant that had been neglected for years. The paint was pealing up all over the place. I could have spent a week scraping and sanding or a half day using the Wagner Paint Eater. I have more walls that I will be happily using this on. It's perfect for old pealing paint.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Good tool but old paint uses a lot of discs A good tool, takes off paint without 'melting' like a high speed angle grinder will do. Works great, and fast, on newer paint, but my house is 120 years old, and when I take off the old paint (yes, I am using an industrial face mask and eye protection because of the lead base paint), it is slow. On one wall, about 300 square feet less area of doors and windows, I used 13 discs. And I got every bit of use out of each one. The old enamel paint is really hard. One thing to be careful of; the wood underneath the paint (in my case, cedar siding) is much softer than the paint, so it is easy to cut too deep into the wood in one area while getting off the paint next to that area.

So far this eater works very well and I'm happy with it. normal we just use sanders but give this a go and I don't regret it. the only thing I would and probably will change is the cord length. I see in the future I will be rewiring in a longer cord to get the plug further away from me.

Rated 3 de 5 de par Does a good job. I bought a model 0282180 and it has done a good job removing paint but I just tried to change discs and it broke the disc lock. I haven't figured out a way to change it. Hate to buy another one.
