Broke After 3rd Use
They sure don't make them like they used to. Last week the 3/8 drive locked up, this week the 1/2 drive locked up. I'm just a DIY'er keeping an old truck running, very light duty use. It's disappointing the quality of these wrenches now days. The finish is nice, but you'll be replacing them often.

Nice finish but its garbage
I bought this ratchet and on its first use it locked up and wont go in either direction. I thought maybe it had gotten water in it and had frozen up as it was 10 degrees outside where I was working. I took it back in my shop and let it warm back up for a couple of days and tried using it in my heated shop but its still locked up.

Not what it once was
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I inherited my Dad's tools when he passed. Most were bought in the 50s and 60s and mostly Craftsman. The quality was so much better with the old tools when compared with today's Craftsman tools. Especially evident with the ratchets. Old ones are very tight still and easy to change. Not so much with the new ones although the designs are almost the same. With my newer ones the sockets fall off, it will change direction as I am using the tool.

Junk
I bought this tool because I am a mechanic, and thought craftsman was where it’s at. Boy was I wrong. I have had this type of ratchet for 7 months now. Craftsman is sending me my 3rd replacement. It’s great and all that they are replacing it, but like I said I use it for my job, and I can’t put my job on hold for 14 days waiting. Craftsman has went way down hill. Save yourself the trouble and go with a different ratchet.

Very nice 1/2” ratchet
Lifelong Craftsman tool user and this new 1/2” ratchet is a well made and beautifully finished tool. It feels really good in the hand with no sharp edges. Please start manufacturing them here in the USA (like some of your new adjustable wrenches) and you’ll have a lot of new customers beating a path to your door.

Don’t Buy Tools Here
I have a defective 1/2” Drive Kobalt Ratchet handle that is defective. It has a lifetime 100% exchange warranty if product brakes. Lowe’s is not standing behind this warranty and is now telling me it’s up to me to contact Kobalt myself for warranty. I contact Kobalt and they tell me “no just bring it into Lowe’s and they will replace it. Don’t buy tools here they do not honour their warranty’s and do not stand behind their products. I wouldn’t ever buy tools from here again!

Craftsman ratchet
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As good a ratchet as you can buy and at a decent price at Lowe's.
