Perfect knife for a display studio
this is our go to knife for a display studio (advertising) where we fabricate a wide variety of mock-ups. Cutting ,scoring as well as detailed work are the basics of our routine. This is the preferred knife of my crew it is reliable and consistent especially when the pressure of a deadline is on us. As a prop and model maker having a scoring blade right there is a Godsend!

Olfa knives, the best utility knives there is.
I'm a roofer. Shingles, rolled roofing, cedar shakes, metal. I've tried using other knives other than Olfa. And have ALWAYS been disappointed in them. Olfa is the best knife brand there is, whether it be for your professional job, or your everyday tasks. They're very tough and are found in most stores. For a good reason, they're the best. Will never buy another brand of knife again. Especially after using this particular knife the L-5. With the black blades.Unbeatable.

Most utilized tool in my pouch
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Being in the construction industry for 20 years I've gone through many different utility knives. I came across this one by accident as another trade left it behind. It has been my go to ever since! Blade mech is great, blades always top notch, but my favourite thing about is the prying handle on the end. Whether is opening paint cans, tucking carpet in or even mortar clean up for tile, it never lets u down!

Nice but not great
I recieved this knife for free and was asked to review it right out of the box I had noted the tip where the blade comes was poorly finished and had burrs but that was an easy fix the second thing I noticed was the Ratchet sticks very far out of the handle I found it irritating enough to take a hacksaw to it I love olfa products but this one just isn't meant to sit in coveralls the metal box opener/butter knife flathead gets hung up in my pocket making it very hard to remove when I need it I put it in my drawer but will not carry it all day everyday compared to my older olfa 1 inch blade it's a pain to keep clean or to mark with my name so no one nabs it other than that it's great just not for my needs

The only knife you need
I absolutely love this knife. The ratcheting blade lock is really simple to operate and offers a sturdy safety mechanism. The blades are exceptionally sharp and seem to hold up. I was able to remove about 200sqft of carpet and padding with only a few snaps. Even better than the blade is the box opener on the back. I use this more than the knife itself because I don’t need to worry about cutting myself or gunking up the blade on tape. the ergonomics are also excellent - this is comfortable to use for extended periods of time.

The knife my husband swears by!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband forges his own knives and does his own leather work for the sheaths. He swears by his olfa!! Cuts leather with ease and way better than knives designed for using with leather!! He will never buy another brand. Ever!
