craftsman utility knife
It was a little difficult to get the packaging off the knife, and mine was missing the instructions that were supposed to be inside the knife hanfle. But after messing with it and figuring the knife out, I find this thing is really cool. It can hold two different blades that are retractable. The handle is super comfortable. There is also storage inside the handle for extra blades. The knife uses standard style utility blades, so replacemts shouldnt be an issue. The best part about this is the quick blade change out feature, makes changing out with new blades very easy and fast. Take your time and figure this knife out, it will be worth your while.

Amazing once you get past install!
Got this for Christmas, it’s really not as bad as other reviews suggest once you figure out how to open it and install blades.
1) there’s a perforated section of the cardboard label you need to cut or tear
2) opening the handle will give you more instructions. You press the tab/button on the back end of the cutter. The underside you touch with your fingers will pull down, inside are four blades.
3) to install the blades you put the blade pusher into position and tilt the little grey tab at the front towards the blade you want to install. Then retract and you’re in business!
Sturdy metal design and the handle is very comfortable! Helped me open boxes all Christmas Day!

Satans utility knife
Once you get over the fact that there are no instructions and then it’s very eclectic in design you can have fun using it as a puzzle to try and figure out how to load it with blades. The red handle is cool like a Ferrari. And like Ferraris it’s finicky, eclectic, and different. So get out a star driver to disassemble it.(Let me be the first to say you’ll need one. Craftsman won’t tell you and you won’t find it anywhere in their help). You do have to take it apart in order to load it the first time. After that you’ll be able to quick change the blades. And then you can enjoy the satisfaction that you conquered this cranky beast

Packaging and Instructions Exceedingly Bad!
I bought this tool today. I should have had the tool out of the bag and been up and running in a minute or two but instead every step was difficult and frustrating. It was hard to get it out of the packaging. It was hard to open the handle where blades and instructions were located. It was hard to read the poor and brief instructions. It was hard to get the blades loaded in the tool. A simple tool was turned into unnecessary nightmare. Who designed this product? Who let it go to market like this? Why would I ever buy a Craftsman tool again?

Versatile utility knife
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is very good product. I really like the duel blades and are very convenient. The compartment for the extra blades is easy to access. There are a couple down sides: first - while applying force, it is easy to depress the button on the blade you are using and will tend to retract; second - very similar to the first the other button can be pressed while using it causing it to jam and you will need to work it back and forth to retract the other blade but after a few uses I became more aware of them and had no problems adjusting to the knife. Overall I would recommend this item especially to those who need a versatile utility knife.

No instructions, but very handy design
The knife comes with no instructions, so here's what you need to know. The blades are stored in the handle. You push a little button on the top rear of the handle forward, then down, which opens the black plastic portion of the handle's lower side. To load the blades, extend the left or right button all the way forward, push the gray button to that side, and slide in the blade. Only one blade can be forward at a time, and the blades won't lock in place unless the button is all the way forward. All these functions were pretty stiff when the knife was new, but have loosened up over time. I have found it super handy to have both a triangle blade and a box-opener blade on one tool that you can open with one hand, that uses blades that are widely available.

Instructions?!
Thanks to one previous reviewer who made instructions. Even after all the negative reviews, Craftsman still didn't bother adding their own.
